  1. I’ve got a 2010 model and had the common steering lock issue. I found out that if you hit the box and get it into ACC mode and then pull the fuse it will stop it happening again.

I've since pulled the fuse and got it working and drove home...and today I’ve gone to start the car and it’s still showing the same problem? Surely if the fuse has been pulled it can’t operate?

    thanks

  2. So after buying my first 350z in 2015 and then going onto buying a 370z in 2016 I have now gone and bought a GTR!

I never thought I would own a GTR are 24 but after a lot of hard work and dedication its finally paid off.

The 350z is now owned by my father and the 370z is owned by my other half which is pretty cool.

Over the moon with the GTR, the power is addictive and the handling is awesome considering its size. Currently has full litchfield exhaust, updrated brakes, gearbox circlips and dodson syncros, 2015 rear lights and steering wheel, few carbon goodies inside :)

  3. The mpss are great, I've tried bridgestones and goodyears but the Michelins are better.

I just got the new pilot sport 4S for the rear what a difference in turning!! The goodyears on the rear gave a squishy feeling but now the turning has become really sharp.

  4. Hi,

Lately I've developed a soft clutch that sticks down when the car gets hot or I'm driving aggressively. I believe this is most likely the slave cylinder thats a common problem on these cars however I've also developed some other problems which include an intermittent loss of power when accelerating and also stalling.

When stopped at lights it's stalled and also straight after starting the car it stalled. I haven't noticed any visible slipping in 5th or 6th..

Can a faulty slave cause power loss and stalling?

No codes are showing. I would check the spark plugs and coils but I find it a bit strange that I'm having these problems now that the clutch has gone soft so maybe they are connected?

    Thanks!

  5. I've had two sets on the 370z so far...

    First set;

Front - Original Bridgestones = Rubbish, had lots of understeer when pushed.

Rears - Hankook (v12 i think) = Pretty good grip, a lot better than bridgestone. I also liked the stiff sidewall.

    Second set;

Front - MPSS = Best tyre so far, can be pushed a lot harder and good grip in the wet.

Rear - Goodyear Eagle F1 = Seems to have the same level of grip as MPSS but the major disappointment for me is that the sidewall is so damn soft!!! the rear body roll felt noticeably softer/squishy.

  6. The air to air sounds good! I've also been looking at the GTM kits but I think installation would be a lot more?

Ever since I went in a friends 660 hp GTR its kind of made me want more power! I could save it towards a GTR but It will still be cheaper to SC a 370z as long as it doesn't blow up!

Thanks for the offer! might have to take you up on that :D

  7. So I'm thinking about supercharging my 370z but I just can't decide on if it will be a good idea or not.

I currently have bolts ons which are motordyne exhaust, art pipes, stillen gen 3 and ECUTEK which made 333 WHP and 283 lbft at the hubs.

What sort of power are people seeing with the Stillen SC? Will it be a big difference compare to what I currently have? Comparing SC graphs to mine and their doesn't seem to be much difference down low, only once you get past 5k.

Have been on a few us forums and some say its not worth it while others say it completely changed the car...

  8. pretty sure the disc is warped, when I spin the wheel the disc scrapes in a certain spot... I haven't had a good experience with them tbh because half the bolts on both rear discs snapped off after a month of driving!!!! I found out as a bolt head got stuck in the disc shield making a loud noise, after inspection about 9 bolt heads fell of in my hand..

The new sealed bolts they sent were slightly different so they must know of the problem to change bolts.

Kinda puts me off buying the final drive gears from them,

  9. Hi,

Im thinking about changing my final drive to either a 3.9 or 4.08.

Has anyone from this forum done this? What do you think?

I've heard that the 4.08 can throw off rev match, but I've also heard that this can be adjusted via ECUTEK? Is this correct? I'm already running ECUTEK so would be handy!

Seems like a good mod to liven up the zeds according to the us forums!

  10. I've fitted the Z1 fronts and fears about two months ago.

I can definitely feel a difference! 30lbs from the hubs is massive!!!

Myself and another person found that the steering became ALOT sharper. Out of all the mods I've done these have been probably the most noticeable.. it took me a while to get used to the new feel of the steering as it became so much more responsive.

I've also weighed the discs and they are true to their word with the weight loss, mine were spot on.

They are a bit pricey but I found it difficult to find another brand that's 10lbs lighter per disc at the front. However lately i have steering wobble when braking from a relatively high speed, tried different pads and it'sstill the same....

  11. The mods Chris has fitted and we tuned with EcuTek on our in house dyno produced around 350/355bhp.

What does the drive train loss work out at? from the US forums It seems about 16% and from a previous post of yours it was 35bhp add on ?

Looking at my sheet it was at 332 WHP and 283 ftlb

Using the 16% would be 385bhp or adding on the 35bhp would be 367bhp. :S

  12. Hello,

I recently fitted Z1 two piece rotors along with Stoptech pads and have noticed a lot of steering wobble and judder thats intermittent but mainly when the brakes are hot.

    - Normal daily driving = fine smooth braking

    - Fast driving with fast sharp braking = Fine smooth braking

    - Fast driving with long braking such as coming up to a roundabout causes a lot of wobble for example going 80+ and applying the brakes gradually to come to a stop. I assume this type of braking builds up heat most?

Any suggestions what I could look for?

All wheels spin freely and don't seem to be catching etc..

I might try different pads on the front, would it be ok to run different pads on the front compare to the back if their similar compounds?
