If I have a house bought by then I will come along, my zed will have to go into storage while I'm homeless so it would be difficult.

Awesome! This is what I wanted in my car, bought an ipad specially! Then the guy said he couldn't do it. Looks great!
iPad forget it, but iPad mini is doable. I would have put it where the cubby/sat nav goes, but I want to retain my oem satnav for emergencies, you just never know. I'm anycase if I was to do that it would look daft keeping my stereo.
There's a few ways for connectivity, bluetooth, wifi, or as I'm doing direct digital. Doing the digital is more cash but I really want the best results. Also I love tech so it adds to the fun.
I'm hoping over the weekend to finish the adapter. Get on with the shaping around where the ipad will sit. Then ensure all visible panels are smooth and imperfection free. Prime and hopefully get the top coat applied.
I'm not very good at technically stuff but I do love my gadgets! Can not wait to see your final outcome! I was thinking about the ipad mini but the guy said he could do either, I wanted to put it above my normal stereo to get rid of that empty box thing on the dash which doesn't work properly on my car anyway. He said I could have waited a few more months for the correct connectors to come out. But I needed a descent stereo as the factory one was jumping a little. I may have it done in the future, but have a few other bits which are more important like p3 service first. good luck! And I do wish I had the faith in myself to do this, love to tinkering but have no idea what I'm doing! Haha

Looks like your bolster could do with a bit of TLC too There are products available that clean and condition the the leather, the alezan (which you've got) come up a treat when they're done.
But drop Pete (4RE Leather) and Mondo H n' S a PM first as they will advise the best route to take
Yes it defo can, it does look worse in the photo tbh. Thank you I have messaged them both

Hide and Seat, a trader on here, who has had some favourable reviews on the forum, may be able to assist. Drop him a PM.
I can't find that on the members list. Am I looking in the wrong place? :/

I have a set of the orange seats if you would prefer to just buy the replacement leather cover and foam pad? Any pics of how bad the stain is and any idea of what has caused it???
No idea, something a car wash company use! As it was them that did it. How much are you looking for?
-
Thanks for the replies, it's not too bad, but because the car wash have said it wasn't them (which i know it was, as it wasnt their before- i would notice!) I'm going to get some invoices on things and give it to them see what happens... I'm just on my high horse as they won't admit to it. Threaten with small claims court, their word against mine, but u never know. If that doesn't work then ill see what I can do lol

Thanks both, very useful information. I did average about 15k a year, but was trying to keep mileage down on this car (not because of costs particularly) but because I didn't want to put miles on the clock.

Well my bike is put away for the winter, but I keep it taxed just in case the weather's good, if I get a good day it comes out. I have put it up on ebay, just to see if there is eney interest in it, had a few offers, but not what I want. I thought I would go for a kawasaki Z1000.ho I must have a look at sarah's profile
Yeah, my bike gets tucked up for the winter. She's staying taxed and insured though, otherwise I won't ever build up my no claims! I've only got 3 years no claims, could have had 5 by now. Lol.
Always a good idea to have a look on ebay, I've never listed mine, but I've looked at prices. not tempted though
Z1000 nice... My first change would be the exhaust- mind u I don't like my bikes exhaust either and I haven't changed that yet. Lol.

The gas tank fits in the wheel well and replaces the spare tyre. Prices range from around £1600 upwards, depending on the quality of kit used.
Okay thanks.

Getting some contradictory posts here, as expected, but I do like to take everyone's points of view and experiences so I can make a choice

Most engines including turbocharged respond positively to gas conversions, if done properly, just like anything else the bad ones get the bad publicity.
Okay, thanks. The cars I've known to have it done are twin turbo and have responded positively. But not known anyone have it done in a Zed yet.
-
I think there was a few conversions years back, went POP! End of story, not worth it.
Ah okay! I won't then in that case! Lol
-
I've not heard of a conversion. I'm not sure the Zed engine would take to it long term... Besides, if fuel cost is an issue, then you probably have the wrong car? You could get a cheap run-around for the price of a decent conversion.

I don't have a problem with the running costs- I was just thinking of the future, incase I did. Lol. Apparently it doesn't really affect engine etc. but Im yet to fully look in to it

Was looking at converting the mitz vr4 from petrol to gas, it drinks loads of fuel! i know it can be done in the VR4 as their are a few people i know who have. it doesnt affect preformance and is so much cheaper to run. Plus you can still use petrol if your unable to find any gas....
Anyone done this on the Zed? (Is their actually a space to house it?)
