Hello Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone else was going to Oulton park on the 20th of February for a novice track day? Been there once before and had a great time.
It's a Saturday too, so don't have to get time off work
Cheers,

Any chance you've got a rear strut cover in good condition? (The Silver bit).
Cheers!
-
Do you have the silver Z trim piece for the rear strut bar in the boot?
Yes.
Note that it's been painted black without sanding so can be stripped back to oem finish if required.
Ah right, no worries then. I've got a piece that needs a bit of work to get back to OEM - was hoping to save some time!

Haha, I would love to, but I can't justify £200 on a mod that doesn't change the performance! I've asked a seller on eBay about a LED bulb that should work. I'll let you know about it if it works!

Cheers for the info! I don't think I can justify the expense for changing out the lights clusters, but I'll see if eBay can provide some decent LED bulbs.
Thanks everyone for your help!
-
Wait, just realised you're talking about the whole cluster, mirrors and lenses etc. Those look to be about 200+ quid, which is a bit more than my budget!
All I want to do is switch out the bulbs with some LEDs, surely this isn't too rare of a request?
-
Nice one, so, as a follow up question, what are the specs for the 06 LED lights? and where do I get one?
sorry about all these questions, I can't seem to find any guides on the site!
-
BulletMagnet, how hard was the LED cluster swap? is it a direct bulb replacement, or does it involve cutting up the housing?
Also, does anyone know where to get straight OEM filament bulbs for the rear? Autobulbs don't seem to have 7443 non-LED bulbs, and I can't find many that look like proper brands. Are they really that niche?

Hello,
One of my brake lights has failed, and I bought a set off Autobulbs to replace them. Didn't check the forum first, and found out autobulbs think that the car uses a bayonet, but it's a wedge 7443 in my car...
I figured now might be a fun one to try out LED bulbs in the car. I've searched around the forum a bit, but I can't find anyone referencing a set of LED bulbs with the resistor inside for the running lights?
Autobulbs only have one that is non canbus (so I assume it's not got a resistor?). I'd prefer not to be wedging resistors etc into bulbs that are used for brake lights if I can.

I can't seem to find any direct part recommendations on the forum, and there are a few comments that the bulbs are 7443 not 580, and that there is a difference. I know CS2000 did a pack a while ago, but it seems like he's no longer doing them.
Has anyone changed out their OEM bulbs to LED and not had the brake light fault light? and if so, what part did you use?
I've got a 55 plate coupe.
Thank you!

No worries, thanks for looking though!

That would be great if you've got one! Thank you!

Hello,
Thanks to a heavier-than-expected paint tin, I've bashed in the rear strut bar cover, the silver plastic bit with the Z on. It's the bit this post covers in carbon fiber:

Does anyone have these for sale? Used is fine.
Thank you!

Is the pop charger for sale? I'm based in Warrington so could "pop" over for it.
-
Are these still available?

Hi Chris,
I'm just trying to understand the pictures you've posted, sorry if this is a bit slow:
Do you have in total, 4 alloys, made up of:
2 front alloys - one with a tyre, one without,
2 rear alloys - each with two tyres, both have a set of (matching) tyres fitted, and another set not fitted
Is that the lot?
What is the tyre for the front?
if that's the case, I would be interested.
-
I might be interested, I'm trying to build up a set of track tyres. Would you be able to put the tyres on the rims that don't have tyres?

I should be able to come, I work in birchwood, so it's only up the road.

I'll probably come along, I work in birchwood, so it's only up the road!
Edit: whoops, wrong thread.

Hello,
I've been lurking a bit here picking up lots of tips (thank you!). Had my car since November 2013, thoroughly enjoy it. Silver track version 05 plate.
Thought I'd say hello!
Cheers,
Gargravarr.

Sorry about that! Didn't realise it had sold out. I'll let you know next time I'm going to one a bit earlier!
