    How many 2004 models are there ? I thought it was just GT spec and non GT in the UK didn't think DE and HR models came in until later on

    DE and HR are the engine types, GT is a trim level.

    Just threw me a little with the advert mentioning it's currently on a DE model, if that is only a reference to the engine and not the interior -i.e head unit 🤔😊

    I've had an offer via PM so I'm just waiting for a reply from that to see if it's been sold.

     

    The DE and HR have a different shaped head unit, so a HR standard unit won't fit in a DE. Maybe this is just the model year.

    Hi does this come with the adapter to make steering wheel switched work.

    Hi, Yes it comes with the adaptor for the steering wheel controls. I got them from InCarTec.

     

    Not really wanting to take any less as the head unit is worth this price without the adaptor and surround.

    HI All,

     

    Selling my JDM head unit as I've upgraded to an aftermarket one.

    Cosmetically in great condition.

    It has the common issue of the CD skipping in cold weather and the sound from CD's only comes from the left speakers. I hear these are easy to resolve with some soldering.

     

    I'd take £30 + whatever postage might be.

    Window Drop Issue

    Its new or recondition window motor time I'm affraid. That's the symptoms you get when they are knackered, refusing to auto-pinch.

     

    I dont even own a soldering iron so refurbing them wasnt an option for me, instead i opted for a pattern part motor from USA to save some money. Good luck, they arent cheap either way!

    Window Drop Issue

    Hi All,

     

    I had a new roof fitted to my 350z yesterday which looks fantastic.

    However, I'm having an issue with my windows catching due to them not dropping slightly when the door is opened.

    I can see that they try to drop but it feels there isn't enough force on them.

     

    See video below for a better description of the issue.

     

    The place I had the hood fitted at said that the mechanism needs greasing but I'm not sure which sections to grease?

     

    I've done the reset fix but it doesn't help for when the door is opened.

    JDM Sat Nav, Screen, DVD and Brackets

    Just taken these out my car as I don't have any use for them. I replaced them with a cubby.

    The door is in perfect condition. The marks you can see on it is dust and water from bringing it in to the house.

    The buttons underneath the door are in Japanese and the sat nav software is Japanese.

     

    Could be useful to someone?

     

    The sat nav door is motorised.

     

    Willing to sell separately.

    Replacement Sat Nav

    Hi All,

    I'm looking for some advice what I could do to get the sat nav working on my JDM 350z.

    I've seen the below link. Would this be a direct replacement? If not, what other options do I have? I want it to be as OEM as possible.

    Car hood warehouse. Chessington

     

    Mines booked in for Feb!!

     

    Black mohair option. More expensive but apparently keeps its dark look better and is more supple and less likely to rip in the usual places like the stock vinyl

     

    Once I've had mine done I'll be posting pictures etc.

    Yeah I looked in to them. They seem like the best bet but I was hoping for something cheaper. I think I'll just go with them. Cheers.
