Thanks guys! The Westy was a lot of fun, but I didn't track it enough. Because it was very impractical I don't think I got the best use out of it tbh... I think the new owner is getting a trailer and is planning lots of trackdays so it will be well looked after!

I'll need to do a little research into import models re effect on insurance etc... but this sounds promising!! Keep me in mind when the time comes!!

Yes these are the ones I've been looking at, that have got my hopes up for a £5k bargain... What do you think, I noticed none really have much information about what the owner has done with the car, jsut the standard autotrader stuff... My westy advert was like war and peace!!

Yeah, I know I'm a little low with the price... There are about 8 advertised on Pistonheads, or Autotrader between £5k and £6k... but they might all be skips! I'm sort of expecting to get something for £5k that needs clutch, so I'd get that done, consider doing the clutch slave cylinder for good measure and get the belts done and a service, fresh MOT and hopefully have a car that would be in good shape for a year or more.... Expecting too much?

Hi All - Just joined, and enjoying doing my research! I have to say it looks like the 350Z has far fewer horror stories than a lot of other cars. I've just sold my Westfield... ...and I'm looking to replace it with a 350z Coupe for about £5k. I dismissed Boxster (reliability / £££), TT (Handling not rated?), S2000 (Insurance too much!), Hot hatches have had before (Clio 182 & 500 Abarth), Z4 (mate has one, £££)... so I think the Z has it. I have a dirty secret desire for a WRX STI with the Prodrive Performance Pack, but think that at the moment I don't need a Saloon so should indulge myself with a 2 seater coupe. If anyone local would be as generous to take me for a spin in theirs it would be fantastic!!!

I've just sold my Westfield, it's going this weekend, and I'm pretty sure I want a 350Z Coupe!! I would always rather buy a enthusiast owned car, that is 'known' around the owner's club forums, so I can do a bit of internet stalking on the car's history... Keen for one that's had it's clutch done Happy with ~100k miles, but prefer less Decent amount of history, but if the owner talks about the car well happy for some home servicing... Ideally totally standard, maybe a stainless exhaust. Let me know what you've got!? Will travel for the right car, but based in Leeds.
