I imagine the roadster prices soar in the summer and plummet in winter.. alot more than the coupe. After all the Roadster really is a summer car. Tin top coupe? not so much..:sun: :sun: :sun: :sun:
They will all come tumbling down again come winter!

or simply look at the bonnet. HR - bonnet bulge.

The 2 that I saw at a garage before buying mine were both over priced (2k more than I paid for mine) and have both sold. Garages seem to shift em very quickly even with high price tags.
-
How did it go?

I work with a guy who bought an R8 for his wife. (He owns his own I.T company and has a lot of money) After 4 months she sold it. She was met with aggression where ever she went. No one ever let her out of a turning and she found it vandalized more than once - scratches, dents etc. She lost a lot of money on it apparently. Terrible... no wonder they call jealousy the green eyed monster.

Hoping to come, the missus is checking her work diary...

I've just replied to your mail, I wouldn't go too heavy on the central bolt. Find tension, secure with the outer nuts, which will retain the tension you set.
In creating too much tension you'll hear the strut brace creak, or the bolts on the feet. Make sure also the strut feet bolts are tight (as per mail, not sure on the torque setting).
Your email literally just came through! thanks

Ah so thats what the outer nuts do... OK, So I guess I need to loosent he outer nuts before adjusting the center one?

I need to tighten mine as it has been off/on the car and was loosened when it was reinstalled.
Can you tell me if this is correct please?
> Tighten the center bolt 1.7 turns - tighten the bolt towards you/the front of the car.

Dont get the Halfords one.. I bough it for my Civic Type R before I bought the Zed. 2 miles down the road the the under the bumper straps came loose and the metal ends were swinging all over the shop scratching my bumper.
I dont think I would risk any rack on the Zed and I am big into biking

I noticed that the 'z' is snapped in half. Maybe a kid or car wash dunno.. but I need a new one (in original chrome).
Anyone know where I can find an original one? It seems the main 'Z' badges are super easy to get but the 350 Z ones aren't.
cheers
How much £ you got?

Expensive! You can have the Z from the 370Z if you want but not sure if its different.
I saw these, the new one is crazy money! the second hand one will have no sticky...
thanks for the links though.
I might get a red one you know - as in just use the red Z what you think?

Sorry to change subject. But its amazing how much bigger the wheel looks in silver.
totally... since I changed my silver touring wheels to gun metal Rays the wheels look alot smaller
-
love it, looks superb! I really want a set of rays to get rid of my GT wheels as i'm not overly fond of them.
cheers! They do feel lighter than the standard wheels when you drive off from a standstill.

Cheers guys. She is going in for a polish mop this weekend, I will take some half decent pics then. Filthy at the moment with shiny clean wheels...
I almost went with Polished rims but they are such a pain to keep shiny.
-
Looks good. They're not the only thing you've added to your Zed recently though are they......?
Heh no thanks to you!
I am awaiting a few more bits, once fitted I will post my pics and thanks!

Swapped out the side lights and wheels last night
The refurb company did a good job on the wheels. I thought I would go for gun metal grey for an understated look.
The LED indicators I ordered were the wrong ones bah.. Got the right ones on order now. Not looking forward to removing the liners again to fit em!
Car was dirty when I took the pics last night

Old thread I know but I just swapped my gearknob out for a new OEM one and I spent hours trying to find what was rattling. I was certain that it was one of the dash dials.
This morning I realised it was coming from the gear knob grrrrr
Will try some tape over the collet ring.
I read somewhere that the gear lever is prone to rattle under acceleration but I can't remember hearing it prior to fitting a new knob. I've since fitted a cheap eBay jobby (the plain round alluminium ones) and love it. It's better but s
till get a bit of rattle but can live with it.
Did you try the tape around the collet ring?
My old knob didnt rattle. The new one is an OEM one which I prefer so I need to make it quiet!

Mine is on original clutch ~71k miles. Whilst the engagement point is quite high, there's no slippage or juddering.
Im on 59k miles, original clutch, also high biting point/engagement and no slipage or juddering. I tried 4 other Zed's before buying mine and they all had high engaging clutches.

so the only downside to ah HR is that is uses a lot of oil? My Type-R was like that and I was forever checking it. It made me paranoid!
