  1. For sale is my 2005 Nissan 350z GT in Silver. I’m asking £4800 The car is on a personalised plate that will come with the sale. The plate when spaced correctly will read FK0 3SOZ. I have owned the vehicle for the last 5 years and it is now time for me to move on. I have already purchased a new vehicle so I am in no rush to sell. The car is the GT model which means it comes with heated leather seats, steering wheel controls and cruise control as standard. I have soldered in an aux cable which works perfectly under the 'tape' setting on the radio.

The mileage is currently 78,200, however this will increase slightly as I am still using the car. There is 11 months left on the MOT and it passed with no advisories.

There is a full service history running up to 2014 when I purchased the car, and I have since serviced the car myself so there are no stamps in the book for this period. The oil and filter were last changed around 6 months ago, and the spark plugs were replaced around 2 months ago. The car had a new clutch fitted around 1 year ago and at the same time I fitted a light weight, single mass flywheel. The vehicle is also fitted with an after market air filter and a plenum spacer. It has a stillen exhaust fitted which has no drone on the motorway. The vehicle was remapped by Horsham Developments and made 310 BHP with a print out as proof. The car currently has Michelin Pilot Sport 4s with plenty of tread left. The break disks and pads are in great condition and have plenty of life in them. They have been replaced within the last year.

Mechanically, the car is in great condition, it drives well and has no nasty knocks or bangs. As with any car of this age there are bad points however. The front bumper has a lot of stone chips and was scratched by myself at some stage; I have included an image of the damage. Three out of four wheels have been curbed and could use a refurbish. I previously had coilovers on the car and had adjustable extenders in the rear strut. The plastic has small holes in where these were. Other than this, there are age related marks across the vehicle, mainly small stone chips here and there. The interior is in general in good condition. There are a few marks and wear points; the drivers side seat is starting to look worn.

Test drives with proof of fully comp insurance only.

  2. Hi all, I am returning my car to standard before selling so have the following up for sale:

    Torqen S coilovers - £350

Purchased in December 2016 and fitted a few months later. They have covered around 5k-8k miles. In general they are in okay condition, the paint is coming away in places and the boots on the rear have splits in them. When I first fitted them, one of the brake line holders broke off. I just used a cable tie to hold it in place and that lasted fine for 2 years. They come with adjustable tensioners for the rear which I have cut down to poke just over the strut brace plastics. I have an adjuster for the fronts, but I have somehow managed to lose one of the adjuster spanners, so it will only come with one.

These cost £800 new from Torqen and heres what they say:

Each kit is fully height adjustable from stock height to up to 50mm lower. Dampers are monotube design. TORQEN S coilovers are damping force adjustable with 30 settings to choose from the dial.

Whiteline ARB's and adjustable drop links - sold

As above for when these were bought and fitted, similar condition, paint coming away where they bolt on. All drop links move freely as they should.

    Hardrace transmission mount - Sold

Bought last year, adds vibration to the cockpit so not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Gives your car a more 'race' feel to it. Good condition.

  3. Hi guys, thanks for the comments, I tried prying it apart for hours before I made the post, it was well and truly seized on there. In the end, I got a ratchet strap around the rear sub frame, and ratcheted the hell out of it. It eventual released with an almighty bang lol.

  4. Hi guys, im half way through changing my clutch, all the bolts etc are out from the bell housing. But the gearbox wont come away from the engine. I can get a few mil all the way around so I know its not a bolt, but it just wont come off. Is there some trick to this that im missing? or is it just a case of keep wiggling it until it comes free?

  5. We made sure to keep it 60 or below, just some acceleration shots! On the wrong side, you cant really see but if you look carefully there is a blur on the left where a person is walking in the road. We were going around her :)

But yeah I completely appreciate your point! Will have to be careful with future videos!

  6. Hi all,

I have just invested in some camera gear and want to give this video making milark a go! Few things I note from the below, the car sounds way too quiet and I need an external mic. And stabilisation is very difficult so a better tripod will be needed. Other than that let me know what you think.

  7. Hi all,

Quick update to this, I thought I had adjusted preload correctly in the rear. Apparently not, the spring and top mount were too loose so clashing together over bumps. Once I increased preload on the rear dampers the issue was solved.

Just to clarify this was not an issue with the coilovers, just me being dim!

  8. Hi guys, I fitted Torqen s coilovers on Monday, they were fine until this evening when I started getting a loud knocking sound from the rear. It happens all the time not just when I'm turning so I don't think it's drop links. Exhaust feels solid.

Going to jack it up tomorrow and take a look, but can anyone give any ideas as to what it could be? I'm thinking spring not sitting properly?

Video of the sound here: https://vid.me/pCKF
