  1. Just wondering if anyone fancied if the weather was good and taking a small tool kit with them would want to fit my chrome plenum and ARC induction kit on the day???

I'm the most useless person in the world with tools and picking them up the night before the show so no chance of getting it done before!

Would be much appreciated and could be a good laugh! Illeven buy you some lunch haha :D

Obv won't do it if the weathers rubbish!!!

    Thanks in advance :D

Yh I don't mind doing it mate if the weather is sweet

  2. I'm PM you jumping350. And they were squeaking for about a month mate but it was only on cold start up then it went away so I never thought it was serious.

  3. Thanks mate they may have gotten loose as they did start to squeal. When I looked at them they are twisted and touching each other so I think they may have come loose somehow. I can get them for £25 off eBay. Can anyone get them any cheaper for me?

    Thanks

  4. Need belts for 2003 350Z please. I had Gates belts that frayed after 7 months!!! Is this normal? Why did it happen?

Do Gates belts come with a warranty does anyone know?

    Thanks

  5. Why are most people acting as if they don't speed etc? When I first got my Z it was only a little damp and I thought I would take traction control off and give it the beans round the round about. Landed on the round about lol I learned from it (not to accelerate so hard next time). I'll always have fun in it and when I decide to drive slow and save fuel etc, I'll make sure I buy a different car as the Z is clearly a car that you buy to drive and enjoy it. Give the guy a break people you're acting like you're all so innocent haha

  6. Don't mean to sound like a knob but is it definitely oil as when I got de cats I had a strong smell of exhaust fumes all the times you have explained. If it is definitely oil then it could be the rocker cover gaskets. They are a common fault and I just had to change mine. Easy was to check mate is to pull spark plugs out of cyl 5 & 6 (the two closest to the windscreen) and watch them possibly drip with oil lol.

  7. I would like to know too. I have wrapped the car and have polished engine up, water/methanol injection, CC clutch, flywheel and all that good stuff I was going to ask for about £8k but don't know if that's right...

  9. Police have been and going to check CCTV footage. Think u saw the guy walk off but can't be sure.

Nothing gone but need to get it locked asap as if something happened I may not be able to claim on insurance as it was unlocked.

Anyone know if I can connect it up as it is or if have to put parts back together then do the battery? Thanks

  10. Yes sorry mate live just to lock the car. Key will not go into the ignition at all. All pipes that connect to the upper and lower plenum are off and also rocker cover pipes are off.

All fuel lines are connected back up now though.

  11. All squared now guys! I'm currently working on the engine and have just the upper and lower manifold and some breather pipes left off now. Other stuff has gone back on but I'm waiting in parts therefore left some stuff off.

Battery has been disconnected as stated in the manual until today my neighbour knocked on my door and told me my passenger door was open.

Long story short the car was unlocked due to the battery being disconnected but someone has got into the car. Called the police and they are en route as we speak.

Rather than put everything back together to connect up the battery again can I just connect the battery back up leaving the said items apart or will it cause problems when I do connect things up and start up later on?

    Thanks

  12. The clicking/knocking occurs even at low speed and over level ground its a regular sound I am sure I can feel it through the handbrake. I have been quoted £350 for both rear bearings to be replaced, which I intend getting done anyway as there is a slight rumble on the passenger rear.

Mate, PM ZManAlex and buy two second hand hub and bearings complete. About (£50-70 each). Then it's about an hour or two labour tops in any garage. Don't spend too much getting it done. I bought one from him an it cost me £60 to fit in a local garage I just told him what torque to do everything to. Hope this helps mate
