  1. Had the rear wheels balanced yesterday. They were way out. Car now drives like a dream! Thanks all for the suggestions.
  2. In which case I'd never get out of 2nd gear! I keep doing it by accident! Haha
  3. That's fighting talk, that is! I'm hoping the balance fixes it but I wouldn't hold my breath to find out If it's the flywheel then that's covered under warranty. Diagnosing it might be a problem for a dealer!
  4. I thought normally if it's the duel mass flywheel it shakes intermittently when on idle. If it only happens at 70mph would say balancing/wheels are main culprit ?? It's absolutely fine at idle. Only dodgy above 70. Gonna get rear wheels balanced up. If that doesn't sort it then it's back to the dealer. Rear wheel balancing should fix it hopefully, fingers crossed for ya. Cheers Sarah! Not giving up on my beautiful Z just yet!

  6. Cheers for the ideas. I hope to f..k that it's not the flywheel! All the wheels are in great condition apart from one of the back ones which isn't bent on the outside but is tarnished to hell on the inner. I thought that was odd as all the other wheels are immaculate. Guess I'll have to take it off and have a look.
  7. Possibly above my expertise level. I love to drive cars but I couldn't fix one if my life depended on it!
  8. I'll start with getting the rears re-balanced. As Hooch said, I'm not sure the fronts and rears are swappable as the tyres are different sizes. I'm not a mechanic by any means but I reckon I've eliminated the drive shaft as I still get vibrations with the clutch disengaged?
  9. Had the fronts done a week ago when I had new tyres. Yeah I guess I'll get the rears re-balanced. Kinda convinced myself that it was coming from the front. I'll get the rears looked at this week. Cheers.
  10. Hi all, I've had my 2008 350z since January. It's always had a bad vibration at over 70mph. The whole car vibrates. It becomes more noticeable if I let off the power. It feels to be coming from the front end but I'm not 100%. The gear stick wobbles like crazy. It still vibrates if I take the car out of gear and disengage the clutch. It's only done 27k miles. It has full dealer warranty. I had the banana arm knocking problem so they replaced that under warranty and said it would cure the vibration. It didn't. I've had new tyres and balancing on the front. I had the tracking done at the same time. Problem still exists. I don't trust the dealer to find the problem and I'm close to getting shut of my dream car. Any pointers? Cheers in advance. Dave
  11. I did the exact same don't think I turned CD player on for a month Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This! The Bose sounds great but the V6 sounds infinitely better You should hear what it sounds like with an after market exhaust system and HFC's or de-cats. Don't tempt me! I'm still reeling at paying 490 notes for tax!! Anyway could be worse than £490. You should see how much some of the Irish lads have to pay for Tax on their Zeds. I'm sure you'll have your work cut out avoiding modifying the Zed if your on here. My first mod might be to add an auxiliary input to the stereo by cutting the tracks on the cassette deck PCB. Seriously, a cassette deck on a 2009 car?????

  13. +1 on both counts. If you need a complete banana arm don't get it from Nissan as it will cost you a small fortune and that's before it's even fitted. Try a PM to a trader on here called zmanalex. If you just need the bushes then you could try Horsham Developments for them; http://www.h-dev.co....oducts_id=25342 Best fitted in pairs or you could try up-rated items which is what I have; http://www.h-dev.co....oducts_id=25451 Hope you enjoy your Zed. I'm hoping they'll have a look at it under warranty tbh. If not then thanks for pointing me in the right direction If it is the ball joint on the banana bar then it's notoriously difficult to diagnose so they may try to fob you off Thanks for the advice. I may have to point them in the right direction!
