Hi guys,
new to this forum, picked up a Skyline 350GT the other week (350Z with 4 seats) and have a question......
I always remember years ago it was a bad thing to do to leave your ignition switched on for prolonged periods of time without starting the engine.......
I've got to update the Pioneer Avic 900 in the Skyline but it reckons it needs 9 minutes to do it's job......
Do you think it's safe to do this without the engine running?
I don't want to burn anything out for a simple firmware update.........
Of course, I could drive it out and leave it running but the garage and parking is tight and 9 minutes of idling takes away 9 minutes of fuel that I could burn driving instead.....
Cheers,
Darren.
