  1. Just to let you know that I recently carried out a Full all fluids, all stuff service just to be sure that it had all been done.

My guy basically said that all the fluids were fine APART from the Clutch fluid which was as black as my car.

After replacing it clutch action is much more smooth, and I never noticed before but the clutch was only coming up to 90% of its travel.

I thought everything was normal... Now I've had it replaced I can see the difference!

    Night and day!

  2. I did this the other day and I can't be trusted to swap the oil so its fairly easy.

When I say easy, you have to try really hard to damage the car or what have you, but it took me about 1h 30m to remove all the fecking gunk from the badges and the area,

Clean it up and then apply the one ones.

I'm not sure what the best stuff to remove the glue is... Maybe someone could advise?

  3. I'm not going to lie guys, I took into consideration what you were saying.

I was thinking to myself 'Bronze would look great... but maybe not on stock Rays?" and then MikeVV said exactly what I was thinking.

I tossed and turned and as they were about to mix the paint... I changed to part gloss part satin black.

    Sorry guys, I chickened out.

Mrs says I should of stuck with Bronze but to be honest I'm super happy with how they turned out, The next wheels I buy will be bigger, wider and bronze for sure.

Heres a quick (And very bad snap) however the wheels look AMAZING in person!

  4. I was in the same boat as you not long ago - I went with the safe option of anthracite :D

Bronze can look the nuts on a black car, but not with OEM Rays I don't think - They're too plain for such a bold move.

I mean you're welcome to go for it but only if you post pics AND get matching center caps :D

Yeah that's exactly what I thought, the stock rays are small and fairly standard. Not sure if Bronze will suit them... I might just take a punt and see what happens. The guy there is convinced it will look good and originally it was his idea.

Will have to find out this afternoon. Will report back with pictures.

  5. I'm sorry if this is the wrong section but I'm getting my wheels refurbed tomorrow. Standard OEM Rays.

I was going gloss black on my black 350 but the guy just suggested Bronze... So I can't decide now, what do you think?

  6. So I'm testing the waters a bit here, I don't need to sell urgently (or at all really)

But I want to make the jump to a more economical car as sadly most of my driving is point A to point B and I'm barely driving for pleasure anymore.

The car must have belonged to a forum member before as it has Carbon wrapped door handles and Z badges.

I've owned the car for a little over a year now and most of the miles that I've put on it (About 12,000) have mostly with very few exceptions been clear motorway miles cruising at 70mph. The cars not had much stress in its time with me and has always been treated to everything it needed.

    Regardless Here we go....

    Bad points:

I'm very honest so I'll list the minor annoyances.

Stone Chips - Its a 350z, unless its been front end resprayed they all have them.

Wheels - Could do with a refurb? Was my next target after the MPSS's went on but put on hold to see if I was going to sell

  7. Afternoon Adrian.

    Me again...

Looking to order Diff/Clutch/Brake/Gearbox fluids (And Molyslip) / NGK Plugs and Belts (HR)

Obviously a number of those items are missing from your list but I noticed your updating.

Can you do these? If so could I have a price? I'll get it all sorted money wise and hide it from the Mrs again.

    Cheers.

  8. Went there yesterday, Highlighted that I needed 4 new tyres.

He noticed me straight away (Not many 350's around)

"Alignment and tyre balancing, that was you right?"

I said I was looking for four new tyres but first have a look at the wheel profiles.

    He walked around and said

"Why are your rear tyres on the right side of your car and why are your front tyres on the left side of your car"

"Good question, So I'm looking for a good deal on 4 tyres, Balancing, Alignment and Geo. Sort me out"

£600 for 4 MPSS, Balancing, Alignment/Geo and Disposal of old tyres?.

Sounds pretty good to me. They apologised and said he was going to bollock his brother who did the wheels.

I said there was no need for that. Mistakes are made, I'm sure he wont make that one again!

  9. I think it was a genuine mistake with new machinery (That balances each tyre on each corner)

Its a mistake, No harm done. I will go back and get it sorted.

If their response is negative and they wont sort this out for free (Which I'm sure they will)

I'll certainly be back to let you guys know the place but People make mistakes a company shows its true colours when you have a problem and they do nothing.

I'll keep you guys in the loop.

  10. So the car hasn't felt right for some time, I've had it checked over and I've had the tyres/wheels checked and the alignment and the whole 9 yards.

But something still didn't feel right, I wasn't sure what it was but I knew that I needed new tyres so today I had a quick look at the tyres.

Went to the rear of the car, 225/45/18

Hmm... That seems a little narrow.

Went to the front of the car.

    245/45/18

    WTF?

Went to the drivers side front, 225

Went to the drivers side rear 245

Now that I look at it the passenger side tyre seems too fat and its like they've taken one of the rear tyres and put it on one of the front wheels when they were sorting out balancing and alignment. Its been like this for MONTHS.

Is this dangerous? Could this have caused any damage?

What a pain in the arse!

  11. Bit of assistance with this.

Documentation is minimal on my Zed however it does have a full book 'o' stamps.

    Its a 2007 at 50,000 miles

The last Four service stamps are

    25k "L3"

    30k "P1"

    37k "P3"

    42k "P1"

If I was to be playing this safe what Should I be doing in total? It will be serviced by my local mechanic (long time friend)

  12. I had a thread about this a while back and I took into consideration some of the suggestions. However my 350z Still does it and every time I think the wheels are about to fold under the car.

    Here's the situation.

My 350z did this standard but now I've done the following.

    Coilover Torqen S Suspension.

    Front/Rear ARB's

    Alignment (camber etc)

Double checked tyre pressures (About 34-36 PSI?)

What happens is if I'm using full lock if I move backwards or forwards on full lock I get this strange slip and the only thing I can think to compare it to is like when you roll your ankle (Hence the panic when it happens)

It "Feels like" the sidewall collapses just for a second and gives this odd feeling through the steering.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I'm using MPSS all round that were fitted upon purchase of my car (around this time last year)

    Any feedback is appreciated.

  13. I drive a 14 year old Seat Ibiza Diesel (Non Turbo) and I've got to admit...

Great fun, Grips really well considering its super old (For a daily) and it has winter tyres front and none winters rear (Soon to be sorted)

You can just throw it into corners and its fairly flat.

    I drove a 2014 Fiesta the other day, 1.5? or 1.6 diesel

Utterly terrifying, felt like I was at the limits of grip when I was taking slow corners.

I'll never buy one for a daily!
