  1. Had a bash at the rears, pretty straight forward.

Looks more of a drop than quoted, but will have to see when fitted.

Measured before and after, sits about 10mm lower at the moment. Will check again after it's settled.

Will have a crack at the fronts at the weekend.

Also ordered new Cobra exhaust yesterday with Cougar Store. Rang them up, great helpful service, if you read this Mitz thanks alot...... that is if it arrives ok...

  2. looks good!!

the springs wont give a drop as much as you need though

Get coilovers so its perfect ;)

Might be right, will see how it looks when springs fitted.

Put off with talk of adjustable suspension bits when going lower.

Trying to do basics without spending ££££'s.

  3. Got some tyres fitted today, fronts are on back order so just rears at the moment.

Went for some Kumho KU39, decent price and good rating for wet weather.

Looks like it rides a bit high but have just dropped it off the jack.

Busy ordering stuff at weekend, Tein springs and clear front reflectors, should arrive this week.

  4. Unfortunately just had the dreaded call from LK Performance about the wheels. When they've gone to the shelf the only set left are black. So after a bit of thinking, googling images and some money knocked off I've gone for black.

  5. Well I've had my Zed for just over a year. Plan was to keep it standard, but the idea of mods were always at the back of my mind. Until a few weeks ago when my exhaust blew a couple of holes. With a new system from Nissan costing mega money and not really wanting a second hand one, I've decided to go for a stainless system. As posted elsewhere, my insurance doesn't cover mods, so I either wait for renewal time or start a new policy.

So for now I'm ordering a few things to get ready to fit, starting with some new wheels that should arrived sometime this week.

    Here's a picture of the car, it's a 04 GT

Other plans are lowering springs, mild engine tuning replaced chewed up gear knob.

And work out work how to make photos bigger.

  6. Did a temp repair job on the holes while I decided what route to take.

These are the prices, with VAT from my Local Nissan dealer:

    Back box £376

    Mid section £253

    2x gaskets £26

Won't be spending that, Cobra system is it then. Quick call to my insurance company reveals my policy doesn't cover mods and I'd have to pay about £400 extra to change to one that does.

Straight away did an online quote with another company, was quoted a cheaper price with mods than I paid last year for standard car.

Soooo hopefully repair job lasts until my insurance is due, and I'll go for performance exhaust and maybe some other mods.

  7. For a good balance between noise, cost, reliability, performance, comfortable cruising, fitment and looks, I'd say the standard exhaust is best.

Hello there, this is my first post, been a member for a while, found the site very useful.

Went for a drive today and thought exhaust was a bit louder than usual, had a look underneath and found this.

So I'm now needing a new back box and middle section. Looking a keep the car standard, but cost wise is it worth going for a performance system?

Are standard exhaust bits a dealer only thing and if motor factors sell them what kind of tips are available?

    Sorry to crash the thread.

    Guy.
