  1. Smiles all round. Thanks for the help. Got all I needed.
  2. Damn! You've seen straight through my master plan. No seriously. Where can I find out what this unit is? Someone told me and I can't remember what it was.
  3. Very true. Rules be rules. So where can I post to find out what my sat nav is? Not looking to sell. I want to know who makes it. Whether it needs more hardware. If it needs or can have updates. How it works. Whether it needs extra looms. I'm simply looking for advice and knowledge. And from a source I trust. Yes the rules are there for certain sub forums. I understand. I can't sell something unless I know what it is. Hopefully once I have found out what it is and asked the right person a few more questions, I'll be on my way to the minimum postings to attempt a selling posting or I might keep it if I get to know how it works.
  4. I'm a member of a few other forums and I have to say this seems pretty hostile at times. Martinmac doesn't seem to have time for new community members who are struggling with the rules of this specific forum. I've been a member since I bought my zed. I have enjoyed reading the posts regularly and have learnt a lot. I didn't know I needed to comment frequently to be able to use the site effectively. Thanks for the help and pointing out the nuances of this forum.
  5. So you are saying because I have less than 100 postings that when I do restart my posting in the appropriate forum it will then be removed? Think there could be a warning shot before deleting. Especially for newer forum users.
  6. Oh I wasn't selling it. I was wanting to know what it was and what it was worth. Then I was gonna repost for sale once I had the details. Can you send me a copy of the postings. As I didn't write down the answer someone gave me. I need to know what it is. Thanks.
  7. I wrote a posting about a centre console with custom sat nav unit in it. I had a few replies and read it last night. I posted some photos and a reply and since then the posting has gone. Other users also has find the post. Any moderator know where it may have gone? Thanks Matt

  9. Tried looking on eBay for parts but can't find what I'm looking for. How would you search for them? Bodywork stud? Bolt?
  10. Actually... Anyone been to Owen Garages in Hayward's Heath, West Sussex? They popped up as jap specialists in my area.
  11. Yeah I think Hampshire and Surrey are a little too far with the arch scuffing the rubber. I will look up the one in Worthing tho. Thanks all.
  12. Hi all, Just wanted to ask if anyone can recommend someone to fix my GT4 in the Sussex area? I had I minor issue with a massive patch of flooding just round a blind corner and it was pulled the side skirt from the front left arch. The black plastic body bolts have completely come away and the inner plastic arch surround is loose and rubbing the tyre. Maybe someone can point me in the direction of a good Nissan garage or parts seller? Happy new year. Thanks. Matt
  13. Hi guys! I've got "99" now. 42k on the clock and just cost me £420 in two new front tyres and alignments. Lovely post Xmas present. Still love it tho!
  14. I don't like knowing half a story so here is my update. Fuses! Fuses fuses fuses. Despite 4 different mechanics looking at the car it has now revealed itself to be a fuse issue. The main issue was prior to my owning of the car the battery appears to have been jumped with the terminals round the wrong way. This didn't quite but nearly fried the main fuse attached to the '+ve' terminal. Some days it worked fine, others it would heat up and short. Hence the lack of rhyme and reason to when and why it would die. This has then damaged the next fuse board housing the central locking and immobiliser fuses. So I bought a new battery terminal fuse holder and fuse (£60) and this allowed me to start the car but not remote lock it and the alarm went off every time I opened it. This is when I took it back to the guys I bought it off, to address the on going issue. They immediately knew the issue and got the fuses swapped in the main fuse board. So car is alive. Note to self... Always seek an expert advice and the AA can be hit and miss in their problem solving. Issue could have been spotted very fast if you know how to use a multimeter or have the know how.
  15. I spoke far too soon!! Got in the car sat am went for a drive, forgot my wallet so darted back home. Got out of the car with the keys, got my wallet and .... dead. Interior light works, but everything else DEAD! Battery showing full health! I have spoken to the guys i have bought it off and they are very happy to try and fix the issue for me. Now i have got to find the £400 to get it recovered from Sussex to Harts! B*££ox!!!
  16. Hey, no aftermarket parts. I have since installed a new headunit. But as of yet it hasn't done it again.
  17. Damn! I was hoping someone would have had it before. Just gonna pray and hope it doesn't happen again. Thanks tho.
  18. Hi everyone! New to the forum so please bare with me if this is a common issue. I have searched for it to no avail. Ok so this is what happened. Got out of my car after a trip, locked the car using the remote on the key. Return to car 5 mins later to go back out and unlocked the car with the same remote. The car looked like it hadn't locked. Because the drivers window was still a little bit open. I got in the car and it wouldn't do anything. The only thing working was the interior light upon pressing it. So i pressed the remote again to lock & unlock the car. ... Nothing. Dead! It did however do some crazy spazzing of the lights and instruments if I have the key in the ignition turned to 'ON' and press unlock on the key again. So i checked the battery.. All good. I then attempted to lock and unlock the car using the key in the drivers door. This would turn the barrel but not activate the central locking. I looked on-line and found some info about resetting the remote on the key. Putting the key in and out the ignition or turning 6 times in the ignition etc etc. Would not reset remote. So it appears a complete electrical immobilisation. At this point i yielded 100 man points and called the AA. The AA guy did everything I had, test battery, try door lock, reset key along with scratching his head and researching on-line. The conclusion he made with a 'expert' on the phone was that the door actuator in the driver door had failed and this was causing the car to think it was never locked. He attempted to fix the door, but couldn't get into the door mechanism enough on the roadside to repair (if it was this fault). Flat bed was called and my new yellow toy was loaded shamefully and taken home to my nearest garage. This too forever due to the lack of the tow point on the car and the bodywork being very tight to drag it by the wishbone on to the truck, oh and being 70 miles from home. Nearly home and out of now where the hazard lights come on. These were pressed and tested by the AA guy and didn't work earlier. After unloading the car all of a sudden the key remote worked. I got in and it fired up fine, but with the engine warning light on. I left the car at the garage and they have since said there was nothing wrong with the door and the engine light was an 'unrecognised error'. They have reset the error and say the car is fine. BUT IS IT? Has anyone heard/had/or know of this fault? Was it the door actuator and whilst being bounced about of truck it fixed itself? Or is it an electrical fault in need more help with? Any advice or help would be amazing. I am worried it will happen again. And if it does i will have to pay for recovery because the AA will only offer a tow for the same issue once. Many Thanks Matt
