  1. Just a typo my friend plus that's how it sounds in my head haha! I was typing quickly to get through the rambling essay I wrote. Once again I'm sorry. Glad the grammar and spelling police are about to put me in my place :)

    you're weird

    haha fair enough!

  2. there are the two mersey tunnels however both cost £1.60 to cross and there's no much room to play. Both long. There's also some tunnels in folkestone near sugar loaf hill. At the very end of the motorway if my memory serves correctly. Other than that I don't know of any others in the north west or the rest of the country haha!

  3. My apologies if I ruffled some feathers there - not sure why there was an edge of hostility, maybe I'm just bein a big girl haha nevermind.

I think my post was being mis interpretted. My point was that for 10k more on the base model of an f type you step up to the v6 s which as we all know gets you around 50hp more and the dynamic set up system etc etc. However my point was I wonder how much you could do yourself with 10k to tune/mod/improve a 370z. (if you were in a position to do so) for example 10k could possibly buy you a supercharger if you wanted to go totally overboard lol however would you have enough left over then to tweak/change the suspension to handle the increased power, brakes n all that jazz. I wasn't saying the f-type was only 10k more than a nizmo, that's redinky dink as you say my friend haha. And at the moment I know the ins n outs of a ducks arse when it comes to the F-type these days (which is why I've been harping on about them) i spent 2 months trying to spec one up with a family member (who has just took delivery btw. absolutely stunning & the noise when you set it all to sport n dynamic.... I actually don't know how they got away with allowing it haha).

Anyway personally I would have liked to have seen more power from the nizmo maybe 340-350 whp, that was my issue with it. Other than that it does look good, and the suspension/brake set up would help on track as you say. Nizmo is supposedly the motor sport arm so I suppose people just expect more when they badge the car with nizmo. On the other hand the only problem I see with the nizmo is, I'm not sure I could take my brand spanking new one on a track lol, even though it's set up for it. Maybe after a few years I would seriously consider it but personally I would prefer to buy something cheap while I was learning more about track racing in the real world (rather than forza & or gt5 lol). So essentially for me it would be more of a road car and on the road I would prefer more power, better brakes and (i don't know much about these things) the suspension is stiff enough as it is. I think (again only my opinion) spending the money you save on a nizmo to do some tweaks n stuff to your own maybe the better/possibly more fun way of doing it. By the time your in a position to do so your cars probably already out of warranty anyway so why not?! Anyways I'm only throwing things out there for people to think about and discuss not pushing my ideas as gospel :)

The Porsche you looked at, what extras did it have on it to make it to make it £15k more than the one you were looking at? PDK things like that? Or was it a totally different model? Weren't there any finance options available to reduce the hit of the increase? I know what you mean about getting your perfect car when you see it you see it and it's hard to look back at an option that doesn't quite match what you want. In the end I paid a lot more for my 370 than I first budgeted and yea it does skint me a little more than I wanted each month but luckily at the moment I'm in a position that I can cover it and I haven't had to compromise!

I'll try re-reading my posts next time to make sure I'm totally clear where I'm coming from. Sometimes I just race ahead thinking everyones on the same wavelength and really I've totally left out what I meant haha.

  4. For 10k more on an f type you 50 more hp and a few other bits and bobs, personally for a nismo version i would expect to see 50hp increase, weight reduction better brakes and the body kit. the suspension didn't need to be any firmer at all but maybe a tweak here or there to reduce to of that engine understeer!! thats my 2p worth anyways. and yes your right i would be a little self concious driving it around over the standard. i think i would prefer to get a normal one and look into weight reduction and tuning. for 10k i wonder what you could do with that engine?!!

  5. I think I am spending the next 12 - 18 months saving for the stage 3 conversion. So once I'm out of warranty I can get the beast in, tested and set free :p. Couple of questions though, there was mention of a rasp over 4,000 rpm on the 350z, has the 370z suffered any similar drones/rasps over certain rpm or on motorway journeys? The one thing i'm worried about changing the exhaust is getting the right sound and it not becoming unbearable on a long motorway journey (not that i do loads of them haha)

Also out of interest, once the stage 3 has been done (or at the same time as they are being done) what other modifications can be made to up the bhp without having to go as far as putting something like a s/c on? Ideally it would be nice to get the car up over 365 upto well as far as possible really 375/380/385 etc whatever is possible. Although I'm assuming at the moment trying to get to that level without a s/c or turbo would be like tryna get blood out of a stone.

Oh yea and can we pick and choose what the 5 settings are on the Uprev maps? Personally I would be looking at a totally stock setting (for MOTs etc), eco setting for round town, eco motorway setting, and then two levels of aggression - mid & balls to the floor or whatever you may suggest.

Also, i've been going on about this in other posts either here or on the 370z forum :p but would there be a way to emulate or at least get something similar (i know they have very close gear ratio's and an 8 speed box and years of development in exhaust note tuning :p) to the F - Type V6's tone and pops n crackles?! Would be awesome to see if that was possible, tune that into one of the remaps or some sort of exhaust tune. At the end of the day if i'm going to spend the forseeable future building up a little cash pot to spend on the car, once i blow it i might as well blow it on something i want and maybe had a hand in sculpting :p

  6. ah gutted, can't find those video's for some reason. Would have liked to have a listen. Is there anyway you can explain the tone at all? If I change from stock I don't want a farty sounding exhaust, I quite like the tone to be a little higher when accelerating. Maybe something close to the V6 F Type pitch?! Although having a rumble almost muscle esque low down in the revs is nice!

  7. Thank you for the warm welcome btw :) here's some pics of the keyin fiasco! It's just that back gash i'm having trouble with... :banned: by the missus, ehem anyway i'm sure it'll get sorted without costing a fortune. If only I had caught the little barstewards, they did about 3 cars in a row!! :boxing: looking forward to some banter and hopefully some meets n drives :) this is better than the370z.com website, they're mostly yanks so it's hard to keep up with their spellings... says me!

  9. Hello, my name is Chris and I've just recently (last 3 months or so) bought my first 370z. My dad had a 370z twin turbo and my uncle had one of the original 240z's so we've known about them for a longtime. I personally swapped in a BMW diesel for it and enjoying every second of it. A bit about myself, I'm from Crosby near Liverpool and it would be cool to meet up n go for some drives with people with similar cars etc :) I haven't done any tuning or modding to it yet but I will probably be considering it once the warranty has finished and it's all paid off in full haha. Had a couple of good drives in it, did folkestone and back a few weekends ago... little bit naughty on the juice and it seems to entice the speedin tickets out of me but it was all good fun! And just so you feel some pain, some little twonk keyed my car from bonnet to boot a few days ago... proper devastated. Got most of it out with my dads help but there's still a gash on the rear drivers side wing :( i'll post some pictures of the wheels when i figure out how to :) Thanks and hope your all havin fun!
