  1. Reading back 'laughable' is a bit strong, but the tone of urgency in some of the replies is a bit much and some of the statements of 'fact' do differ to advice given by professionals who specialise in these cars.

It's fine, it'll be fine and it's very similar to what I'm about to put in a car I like to take good care of.

  2. Bought #162 (black, 61k, LMGT4s) a couple of months ago and am giving it a bit of tlc after being slightly neglected recently.

So far it's had a P3 service, gearbox and diff. oil, new belts, new pads, new discs and a bloody good bath. I've also de-badged it, removed the numberplate plinth, swapped various bulbs for LEDs and am pricing tyres.

    It knows it's loved.

  3. Thanks for the responses (what are you waving at Wasso?).

    I've gone for the Godspeeds.

I did a bit more reading (they get great reviews on the lancerregister amongst others too) and it only really confirmed the impression I previously had of them; that they provide really good kit and usually a fantastic service.

Besides, at £130 for a pair of discs I'm happy to be the board guinea pig and report back on my findings.

    Will keep you posted.

  4. I've ordered a set of Yellowstuff pads and am looking for a slight upgrade on the discs for my GT4. Had a set of Godspeeds on an Impreza I used to own as they are quite well regarded over on Scoobynet but can't find anything about them over here.

I was going to just fit a set of Pagid discs but, whilst they seem liked on this board, they're not as popular as they used to be on other forums.

    Any thoughts welcome.

  5. More praise for Japex.

Took my GT4 in for a P3 this morning, its first service in my ownership.

Fair pricing, great service and honest, informed advice leave me genuinely chuffed to have found a workshop I can trust. I won't hesitate to go back.

I also want to mention the fantastic little eatery on the High Street that is Dalling & Co. I wandered up there on Ross's recommendation and spent two relaxing hours spread across a leather sofa eating, sipping coffee and reading evo. Rare times.

Anyway, that's more than enough gushing for this evening...

    Max

  6. I've got another thread of the same title running in the wanted section but thought I'd also ask in here.

I've just bought a 2005 350Z GT4 that has a JWT Popcharger fitted. I took the cone off to clean yesterday and it's a bit tired and has a few small holes in it. I've been told that nobody over here stocks those replacement filters so I'm really after advice on whether a different element from another manufacturer is a good option, I should simply get one from The States or anything else I've not thought of.

  7. Yeah. Took it off yesterday to clean it and noticed a few small holes. I've only just bought the car (a 2005 GT4) and am trying to get a few bits sorted.

Do people ever use other makes of filter on the JWT unit? I realise most people won't have had to replace theirs.
