  1. Hey guys, im in a 350z GT convertible atm and looking at upgrading to a 370. One of my fave things on 350 is the bose. Does a GT 370 also have a similar system?

  2. So I bought a new 350z DE and I am looking to buy an exhaust system. My old one ran an ark true dual exhaust which was wonderful. Are there any other exhausts out tgere I should be looking at if I want something a bit louder?

  3. It may not be a supercar but it is a super car. Am I the only one who loves to have the window down even when it is a little bit too cold to justify it and whack on the heated seats to keep warm? Love the mix of warm and a cool breeze

  4. I average a strong 23.1mpg. Mostly on the work commute which is 50% 60mph roads (constant red lights along it though) and 50% town driving. I think that is pretty good considering I like to let the rpm sit higher to get a bit of the Ark True Dual glory. (Car is a DE)

  5. So my clutch is almost entirely gone so I am leaving it on the drive until Wednesday when it is booked in to get the new xtreme clutch fitted. In the meantime I am driving my mothers Vauxhall Corsa 1.4.

This really has been an eye opening event. Personally I have always owned sports cars with TTs before my 350. Driving the corsa makes me appreciate just how good a 350z is. The corsa is a 2010 plate but the amount of times I feel myself questioning its grip and having to slow down at fear of not having enough is crazy. The 350z with good tyres on you forget just how ridiculous the grip levels are, never ever an issue for me, especially not in daily driving. The bodyroll you feel on a corsa is also crazy compared to a 350 and to be fair the fuel economy doesn't seem to be much better at all. Definitely not a noticeable difference! The speed is an obvious factor and the lack of it has also changed the way I have been driving this week too.

Hugely appreciative of the 350 now and cannot wait until it is back in service!

  6. Hey guys,

Just looking for advice on clutch kits. I do not want to uprate my clutch at the moment, I recently uprated the brakes to black diamond, exhaust to ark true dual and did the banana arms and a few other bits and pieces so need to keep this change as cheap as possible. As such I am looking for stock kits (or cheaper but not worse). On eurocarparts there are 2 kits, an exedy kit and a VM kit. I was wondering which one would be best to purchase and also if anything else would need to be bought on top of these.

The clutch desperately needs doing and can't be avoided now so the plan is to do this cheap and next year uprate the clutch so let me know guys :)

  7. I got the ark true dual in the end from tarmac sportz. Want to just say thanks to them as it arrived the day they quoted and was completely undamaged which is always a bonus :)

The sound is awesome, it genuinely sounds angry if you start it on a cold day which is amazing and gives a lot more lower rpm grumble but can be nice and quiet too.

I assume there is a bedding in process for exhausts and this might change the sound over time?

  8. Thanks for the responses guys. Just looking at the Ark has sold me on it to be fair, looks incredible. I think for me personally the miltek looked a bit too standard so I will have to order the ark this weekend and then look forward to getting it fitted :D:D:D

  9. So, the plan is to get a new exhaust before christmas. There is no real budget but I would find anything significantly over £1k to be a bit too much for an exhaust. I was originally going to go for an invidia gemini with burnt titanium tips but my main issue here is noise. I want an exhaust that is louder than standard not just when accelerating but also a bit louder at idle as the 350z is too quiet compared to previous V6 cars I have owned / heard standard. Would the invidia fulfil this or would the change in volume be minimal? If so, are there any alternatives? Would a single exit be the best choice? It would be worth pointing out I do not want it to sound chavvy...

This is why I had to start a new thread, sorry! xD

  10. Got my car back from it's MOT last week. Whilst it was there I chose to have both rear tyres replaced as I was having severe traction issues even though I had plenty of tread. Went for a better version of the bridgestones that were already on the car and widened them from 245 to 255. Whilst in for the MOT the only issue was the banana arm joint (or w/e it is called) on the front drivers side which had to be replaced. All in the final bill ended up being around the £750 mark which is fine.

Since getting the car back the drive has been a LOT smoother, it didn't feel like anything was wrong with it before hand and it still drove well but it is so much better now. There is better turning feedback and the steering is a touch heavier which is nice. The grip is also a tonne better, obviously in the current weather full throttle would still make you struggle for traction like a dog on laminate flooring but that is to be expected. Loving the new smooth feel, never knew a banana arm could make so much change! :D:D
