  1. Many thanks to CS, purchased some adjustable rear camber arms. Very helpful and offered fast delivery and a good price! Cheers!
  2. I'm not exactly sure but I think the Eibachs are a slightly bigger drop and generally considered better quality springs with a comfier ride. I would rather sell as a whole but would consider splitting for a reasonable price. (I'm guessing it's just a nut holding the springs on both front shocks?) Mike
  3. Recently removed these from my Zed to upgrade to coilovers, they have done no more than 28k miles, but I did not fit them so I'm not sure exactly when they were fitted. In good condition with usual surface corrosion. Gives a nice drop and no worries about it settling over time, as these are already worn in you will see the results straight away! The only thing I must say is that when I removed them I had to cut off the stud that holds the brake line on the front shocks as the nut was seized. All this means is that it would need drilling out and just use a normal nut and bolt. Unsure what these are worth but I'm asking £200 for the lot? (Sorry if I'm overpricing!) Would rather these be collected but am willing to look into postage.
  4. Oh okay, that's reassuring! Is the low biting point on the pedal normal aswell?
  5. So I have scoured the forum and seen a lot of posts about clutch / release bearing issues, would just like to check I have the same issue, or if anything else is on its way out. Basically when im stationary, in neutral, foot off clutch, I get a constant rubbing noise, wouldnt describe it as a ratttling noise really. But when I push down the clutch it stops. I have seen on the forum people saying this is the release bearing and its normal, but some people describe it as a rattling noise and some as a rubbing noise, is this all the same issue? Also the biting point seems to be very low on the pedal and while in a traffic jam for over an hour yesterday I was getting the smell of burning clutch. Im guessing this is a seperate issue? More likely the whole clutch assembly? Any help appreciated!
  6. Thanks for the helpful input, but I haven't managed to give them to anyone as its a Friday and they can't get it off work at such short notice.
  7. I was lucky enough to win 2 tickets for the goodwood revival next Friday, but unfortunately I can't get the time off work to go As such I am asking for £60 for the pair, but am open to offers. They can be collected from near Horsham, or will be posted recorded delivery. Also I will be at Trax this Sunday if anyone attending would like them. Cheers
  8. Okay thanks for the help guys, think I will purchase some in the coming weeks and not bother with the holes for now!
  9. Exactly the answer I was hoping for! Don't fancy elongating any holes! Next question, is there any competition to the Eibachs? Or should I just go for them? Cheers
  10. So I've noticed that as my Zed is lowered it is running slight camber on the rear. Its not massive but as I do a lot of miles I would rather get it sorted than wear through tyres very quickly! My question is that I have noticed people elongating the hole in the subframe to mount the Eibach camber arms, am I right in thinking the bolt that goes through there is purely for Toe and not camber? If so is it okay to install the adjustable arms with standard bolts? Or is it important to use the new bolts? Apologies if this doesn't make sense! Cheers
  11. I am getting a wired fm modulator, used them in the past and they are usually very good. It's just the wireless fm transmitters you should steer clear of!
  12. I've literally just followed a black '06 plate home! Going from chichester, up through Storrington to the A24. I was in my BMW though!
  13. Thanks for clearing that up! I did wonder what they were. And not sure about Claying yet! Maybe when I get bored of waxing!
  14. I'll be honest.. I have no idea! They were already fitted when I bought the car, I have heard they may be replicas of the Nismo V1 skirts but a bit more curvy, I'm not sure though.
  15. Cheers guys! Haha only got time to take a few pictures!
  16. Today I had my first attempt at waxing, can't believe I have never done this before! I ordered some Autoglym HD wax, and here are the results!.. Wax on.. Halfway through my parcel from Auto finesse arrived! Wax off... Happy with the results, to be honest it was already very well waxed from Stanzed! So it doesn't look hugely different now, but the real test will be the beading when it rains! And my next job will be using this!..
  17. Thanks for the heads up, I did spot that earlier, think i'm gonna hold fire for now though, still not sure what option to take.
  18. Thanks for the help guys, think I will get a set of HSD coilies, just need to decide which type! Is it an easy job to do myself or am I better off getting a specialist to fit them?
  19. Okay so I know this has been asked a lot, but what makes the £200 difference between the Dualtechs and the monopros? I know the monos are true coilovers on the rear but what does this mean in terms of ride comfort and road holding? What type of coilovers are the BC ones on the rear?
  20. Could I just fit the Tein springs on the front? And leave the Eibachs on the rear? Or is this a stupid idea?.. Dave, which type of HSD coilovers do you have?
  21. Thanks for the info, I have heard of the Tein springs, are they definitely higher than the Eibachs? I'm unsure what drop the Eibachs officially have. The coilovers are tempting but I need to save up for those I think! Mike
