Hay guys went to fit my milltek Cat back system today but I had to stop as was running out of time.
My problem was getting the rusted nuts of on the join from the Y-Pipe to the Cat... They were extremely rusted... "More rust than nut"
So going to have a crack at it tomoz
Tryed a 13mm socket (was to loss) and tryed a 12mm socket (was to small) also tryed a tight fitting imperial Socket... But then I couldn't even get it to turn.
But I have a few more hours tomoz and will have another go. Think I need more Hevey dutey tools
(PS yes I should of took pics. Sorry) will upload them when I take them tomoz all fitted ect ect)

Do you DEFINITELY have the Bose?
Sorry not a silly question, use the incartec link it even has pics of the OEM HU's so you know you are ordering the right bits.....
Yes mate. I says Bose on all the speaker plastic casing so I presume so haah
-
Thanks mate ^^
-
Hay guys.
Yea I used a standerd audio Harness adaptor. I orderd it from Halfords
It was at that point I suspect we all diagnosed the problem here
Go grab the right harness fella, should sort your problems out
Cheers mate. Il go buy that one then.

-

Hi guys.
Soo, wired in my amp and 6x9s today. And new head unit. Well not new year old. I wired it all up correct. Then go to turn it on and it just clicks like 10 times and stops. Also no power to the amp. Is this a wireing prob due to mine also being Bose.
I tryed searching for the prob but didn't really find any info. :-/
Tbh, I thought it should be just plug in and play. But ovsly not???
Thanks in advance.

Op? Does that mean me? Haaa.
And yea I'd like them to go louder as the CD player only goes up to 31, but still sounds good to me
-
Im not one of these believers that 1000pound speakers are 10x better than 100pound.
If you so change headunit id recommend going for good brand, I had jvc one. Was awesome for technology and what I could input, but bose was better sound quality. However... that might have been because it bypasses the bose amp.
You looking at getting some speakers in the rear of boot? Or just keeping it in the oem slots?
Il build a boot build in the back mate and sit my 4 6x9s in there. Aswell as the rear 6.5s il swap them for some aftermarket ones just like the doors. But amp them aswell so I can get the full potential
-
Yea they sound better. More crisper.
I still have the standerd CD player In there ATM. So as soon as I change that the door speakers should improve aswell.
But yea there good. I'm "happy" with them ATM. But as soon as there amped il be extremely happy then. I'm gunna do a boot build thing as I also have another 4 6x9s lieing around "vibe slicks"
My end plan is to have to 2 door speakers and 2 rear speakers amped
Then my 4 6x9s amped
And then if I want a sub il put a active sub in.
But yea 8 speakers in total I want 4 6.5s & 4 6x9s and they will be all Vibes, including the amps & wireing kits.
As in my opinion "Vibe" is more than satisfactory for my needs.

Agreed that people read things differently. From what ive read and took it, seems like some people are criticising your audio knowledge in a mocking way. Im all fine with people turning round and saying "I hate your car colour", just some people express their view bit too much to some1 theyve never met.
and yes octet ive been to zedshed, but different style, its face to face. Im not throwinf bullying cards everywhere just saying
Yes everything said somed up on one pal. Thankyou. And Totlay agree with you.

Everyone does something wrong with a car and think "should have done it this way"
If you like them, thats what matters. If a month down the line you dont, its just a learning point everyones too harsh with opinions I.m.o
I always find tht forums are like this. With all the banter and that, but i think Its hard to tell what banter is throught cyber Chating. Hard to understand its like texting. You read it your way, when it's sent in a total differnt way.
I think from now on I'm not gunna bother doing "topics" coz Everytime I do someone criticises me. Cheers then 'thumbs'
Don't give into the hate. I only said what I said not to be nasty or critical but so you can learn a little more etc.
If your happy then that's all the matters why care what I or anyone else thinks. Plus your thread might have helped many people. Trust me I love a bargain more than anyone.
Yea fair enuff mate. I agree with you.
Just don't understand why everyone's getting all technical and high rate about what I have done.
No harm at the end of the day. It's only a few pence for good sake. I'd be amping the door speakers next month anyway. And there'd sound immense thn

Haha yea defo. Cheers Flexi-b
And yea they sound better in my eyes.... Well ears lol.
-
At the end of the day. I have replaced the standard speakers with some better sounding ones.
I couldn't care how much there are
I couldn't care what make they are
all I know is that they better than what was original in there. For me, that's a win. And most of all... I'm happy with them
-
Just fitted them... They sound awesome. Alot better than the standard Bose 6.5s ones. And they are nice and clear. Not gunna blast them up to much. As they need wearing in.
But yea. I'm very happy with what I have done. Especially when it works out to be around 24quid for the fronts to be upgraded.
Can't fault them
-
Yea fair play guys.
"But do it cheap" wouldn't nesseserly say there cheap. Vibe is a good Quiltiy make. Always gone with Vibe throughout my audio choices.
But then this is a forum with a wide chosse of ideas and thoughts ay. So everyone to there own
Will let you no how I get on
-
Cheers mate. Let me no how it goes best of luck.
