I've got an issue with my soft top where it's operation seems to be out of sequence, ie when opening, it opens in the normal manner until about half way open then you have to press close to open it the rest of the way... This is the same when closing. I probably caused the problem when I took the soft top motors (5th bow motor and the two side motors) to pieces to change the brushes and somehow put the motors back in thier wrong positionIs. Is there a way of resetting the whole sequence. Would and ECU reset do the trick? Any help would be greatly recieved.

Ok changed all motor brush gear. Fiddly job, but managed it. Did not fix initial problem. The last movement of the roof when closing does not work, ( rear window section does not drop and lock into the storage compartment lid, it's stuck up in the vertical position.... Can anyone suggest anything else?

Cheers, yes it is the original roof material. I've taken the 5th bow window motor out... (Very awkward) and taken the small motor to bits. I've ordered some new dc brushes as the originals look a bit worn. When they arrive I'll re-assemble and see how that goes.

Help, Recently had to manually close soft top as 5th bow decided it didn't want to operate to the closed position automatically.  However manually closed 5 th bow but only to the half lock position.  How do you manually release it from here or even get it to the fully locked/closed position. Â

thanks... Was worried as mine seemed to be illuminating at 3000 - 4000 rpm that seemed low, but thats what the last owner must have set it too.
