I'm at little bit of a disadvantage to you knowledgeable Zedders. I'm 63 first Zed, First Computer, and Kentucky Fried Chicken comes in a Photobucket.I think, and a Troll is a toy with fuzzy hair i bought my kids 25 years ago. am I missing something..??

I'm glad of all the comments as i thought it might be me not driving it properly.

But today i was on the M1 coming back from Watford and i thought i would

slipstream an Eddie Stobart truck so I sat behind it for a while and then

pulled out doing about 60 hoping to just blast past it but as soon as the Zed hit the middle lane

and the air, it felt like it was going backwards it lost speed and the truck was still ahead of me

and pulling away.

Is it a good idea to have the air con serviced if you've just bought a used car. I bought a used car last week, not really used the air con but i was at doctors today and I've got a throat infection. Am i being paranoid because i very rarely get ill.

Lol. No but i remember reading somewhere that air con units in cars can release contaminants back into the car if the air con is not serviced properly.

Not helped by a blocked pollen filter.

How many have changed there's recently?

 

I always change the pollen filter in any car I buy, but I was told the Zed does not have one. Is this true. ?

I just hope they have done more damage to their car than yours. That is terrible, somebody must have seen or heard it been hit. Sorry to hear that.

Its a GT - that means its a powerful cruiser and build for comfort. Up to 25mph most little nippy cars (or vans) will keep up, after that the longer legs will leave them behind.

Oh and like the other comments, leave off the traction control for a better start.

But really, racing on the streets? Not that good an idea anyway.

Both the XK and the Zed are about the same BHP, but completely different in how they excellerate, very dissapointed in th Zed.

The 350Z is ok when you get going above 25mph, but how do you get it to 25mph without revving the nuts off it ?.

It's a sports coupe, not a bloody diesel. It's supposed to have the nuts revved off it!

 

To be honest, if you got 'beaten' by a Transit then there's something seriously wrong with either your car or your driving.

Never had to rev the XK8 a it would have any car off the lights, but very disappointed with the acceleration on the Zed.

2nd gear?

Yes but you cannot start off in 2nd without slipping the clutch, once it gets going it fine,

I had a XK8 auto which I loved driving but got bored with it after 2 years so changed it, great car 0-60 6.1sec and 16.8mpg around

town. Now got a 350Z 06 Gt Uk car its manual 0-60 5.6 sec and supposed to be 18.6 mpg. Mine 350Z does 13 mpg in town and I got

out excellerated by a transit van today, and I was trying to beat it, bit embarrassing to be beaten by a transit in a sports car,

The 350Z is ok when you get going above 25mph, but how do you get it to 25mph without revving the nuts off it ?.

I have just bought a 350Z Gt Uk spec and I am glad to find a forum with people who love their cars and

who know their faults. Maybe I should have joined on here before I bought it, but Im happy

with how it drives and looks. Hoped to contribute more to the Forum the future. Lee.
