  1. I'm a fan of the stillen top spoiler and generally of that whole car pictured.

As for vortex generators, I didn't particularly like them when they came standard and even less so when every Clio owner started fitting them. Wouldn't mind actually finding out if they were actually functional.

  2. Really good unit, you'll not be disappointed! Pioneer stuff has been hard to beat in recent years.

Im in Northern Ireland and windscreen dab aerials are actually pretty good now we have completed the full digital switch over so you may find the same, before hand it was patchy at best.

  3. Forgot to say, I previously found this screen at £174 delivered, but that was through amazon, and the price has went up, but I'm pretty certain other online retailers were pretty competitive.

I wouldn't get hung up on 3 preouts, unless your planning on amping front & rear speakers and subwoofer via a 5 channel amp or a 4channel and a mono. Even then it's still possible using a 2 preout set

  4. Sorry perhaps I worded that wrong, perhaps buy the best you can within your allotted budget would be better.

Research the DA100, although the appradios say android compatible there are a lot of known issues. Any double din radio is going to be £129 plus, and most are iPod biased.

As said I was only offering advice, based on experience. It's your money to spend as you please, this is why when I was in halfords I just nodded and let people buy what they wanted because its not my money.

  5. My current setup is :

    Alpine W505 double din

    JL Audio XR front components

    Bazooka tube

The tube was already fitted, but I'm replacing that with :

    Alpine V12 5channel amp

    Diamond audio 10" sub

Most of this stuff I've been donated by mates selling cars or hoarded over time so the actual cost is minimal. If I was buying from scratch, ignoring the headunit as others have covered that above I'd be more inclined to have this setup or similar :

Very close to what un1eash mentioned :)

    Headunit

    Alpine Type R front components

    NO rear coax

    10" sub

    4channel amp

The vibe subs are actually pretty good sounding, but is it a pre boxed one or are you building a box?

The amp again, the vibe aren't bad but you may find you can get kenwood or alpine for the same money by shopping around.

This is just my opinion. I would forego the rear speakers and add that money to buying better front components.

I've spent 12 years advising people on audio as a specialist and painfully for 6 months in halfords before I left the game altogether, so I've seen both ends of the spectrum lol. Buy what you can afford obviously, but make sure to shop around for the best deal. I was able to buy a kenwood screen recently for over £40 less online than I could buy it direct from a distributor I'd dealt with for 10 years.

  6. Are you trying to tell us you have a Nissan garage that can understand what you want. Mine doesn't have a clue even if i draw pictures. :)

I'd say our dealers are pretty much the same. I recieved a call back today telling me to call by a local mechanics at 9.30 tomorrow morning and he will have me sorted in no time :) fingers crossed!

  7. Thanks guys, I've a guy call me back and he can do it tomorrow morning for me :)

Because of the rotating ring on the nut a socket just spins when hit over it sadly

I've never had locking wheel nuts in my entire driving history regardless of whether the wheels cost £10 or £1000. My cars are always in an alarmed garage and rarely out of my sight if i go anywhere.

Plus is wheel theft not really a thing of the past?

  8. Cheers :)

I've a few places to ring in the morning, I know someone will get it off and I don't mind paying a small fortune, I hate locking nuts and never use them, I just hadn't gotten round to removing them and throwing them in the bin.

There's a dynomec kit on eBay at the minute actually

  9. As per the title, I had a complete brain fart when fitting spacers, drove the car to turn it, forgot to remove the lock nut key, it fell off the wheel and rolled down a storm drain..... Yes, yes I'm an idiot!

So, I have managed to easily remove the 2 rear lock nuts with no bother, the front are stumping me because the collar is rotating and I just can't get them off.

I've rang a few places and left messages and I'm hoping to hit up Nissan in the morning and hopefully they have a set of keys I can use. But in the meantime has anyone any idea on how I can smash this rotating collar off?

I currently have 3 spacers on, and 2 lock nuts....

    Like I said..... Brain fart
