  1. Gonzo my ill informed little weasel dealing with pointless threads is ALL I do on the forum. Its role kind of akin to what used to be a QUANGO......not quite minion not quite moderator. Its basically designed to control tools who are to annoying for the mods to speak naughty too and not annoying enough to warn or ban. Also the word petulant means to be childishly sulking or easily irritable...........whilst wholly inappropriate to describe my comments (aside from this one) its just perfect to describe the ethos of this thread. Now shall we put your spade back in the shed or would you like me to aquire you a spoon so you can continue to eat my ass? Interesting as I have quite a similar role on another forum. Our parents must be so proud! To go as far as calling me a tool, what would I be from the garage? As for the later part of your comment I'm really not that way inclined to spoon whatever you may have on your ass unless you are called Mila Kunis.
  2. It's not as if I've just popped on this forum trying to sell a car. I understand the rules and why they're there to protect the forum. It doesn't matter much anyway as my car may have been sold today after someone in a yellow boxter s took a liking to it whilst I was picking up another car. And they had no issues with paying £12.5k for it. And for a 'pointless' thread Ricey you seem to fill it with your petulant comments. Well done.
  3. Would they though? Most people wouldn't bother after a first failure. Having met a few people off the forum I got the impression it's a pretty good club to be a part of. And in all honesty was quite gutted not to make Wales. Is it really that wrong that all I wanted to do was pass on my car to someone that would appreciate it as much as myself hence why I wanted to post it on this forum as I see a lot of people coming here looking at Zeds. Never mind I've said what I wanted to say and feel better for it.
  4. It had absolutely nothing to do with "seeing it your way" It had to do with the rules. I don't know who declined it but as has been previously said, rules are rules and they are there for good reasons. You have no idea how many requests we get to sell items and Zeds on this forum by people who don't meet the for sale rules criteria and if we allowed that to happen there wouldn't be any rules would there? I'm surprised by someone who has been involved with running forums for so long that you don't understand that. This forum is free to be a member of and it's free to sell items, all you have to do is meet the criteria, not too unreasonable really. I appreciate rules are rules but I thought that maybe some discretion could have been given to my appeal. Yes I could have listed it on PH or Autotrader but as previously mentioned I didn't have the time scale. My main gripe is I made a request to the admin and it was declined without notifying me until I made a post about it. Now according to the forum rules you state that a decision and PM would be sent to the seller but as I've said this didn't happen.
  5. £9.6k with the tax which wasn't up till Jan 2014.
  6. I agree the garage is asking for too much I was going to sell it for £10k-£10.5k. I didn't have time to put it on auto trader unfortunately as I'm off for the summer for three months so God knows how much more the zed would have lost in that time.
  7. I did that's why I sold the car at a loss of £4k I just thought it could have benefited from the car, but instead someone will pay one hell of a premium for the car now.
  8. Yes I didnt meet the minimum 6 month period and post count. I did put a case forward saying i wasnt here to make a quick buck or scam anyone.. Ive helped run forums since I was 14 so I know what problems you can get with spammers but i was genuinely excited about the zed and gutted when I had to get rid of it. So instead of giving it to a garage for the money I did I thought someone on here could have benefitted from it. Obviously some people didnt see it the same way as I did.
  9. Following my request to advertise my car on here was declined I sold it back to a Nissan dealer who now has it for sale at £12.5k I hope someone gets a bargain. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201305236904996/sort/locasc/usedcars/model/350_z/make/nissan/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/radius/1500/page/1/postcode/ng347xl?logcode=p 31BHP not to be missed haha
  10. My car will be for sale at Nissan in Lincoln by next week but it might be out if your price range.
  11. So only just spoken to the garage my cars been taken to in order to find out what's wrong and what's being done. I've been told the Slavs cylinder failed and the clutch is also being changed because it is contaminated. So having a new clutch fitted by warranty so it's all good. They're also going to check the flywheel whilst the clutch is out.

    Request

Hey I submitted a request to advertise my zed on the site. I was told it would be reviewed and I'd receive a pm. Alas nothing as yet. Anyone from the mod team able to enlighten me please?
  13. This sounds very similar to what happened with my car however still not heard anything from the garage!
  14. Would anyone know what my zed would be valued at in the current market if I was to sell?
  15. How old was your Corolla? Did they admit to mechanical failure or did you get inspected yourself elsewhere? My Corolla was on a 55 plate and it was last year it blew at 28k. I had to really fight my corner and it was hard but initially on inspection they tried saying it was caused by a lack of lubrication. But after showing an ex rally driver who's held in high regard by Toyota he said it was a load of crap and it was blatantly mechanical so a few phone calls from him really got it sorted. It's all about what you can prove and hopefully you have all your servicing and receipts etc because they will try and put the blame on you.
  16. If you want any help give me a shout because I went through a similar thing last year with my Corolla Compressor with Toyota GB. They paid for the repair (a new engine) as it was a mechanical failure in the engine and was not down to lack of maintenance or neglect.
  17. I think Saturday must have been a bad day for HR engines!! I'm waiting to find out the extent of the damage done to mine at the moment. I hope it's only the master cylinder. I wish you all the best with Nissan!
  18. A little update.. The zed was almost sold yesterday.. however after seeing her again I had a massive change in heart. Having only changed to a zed at the beginning of the year I'd be quoted about £2.5k to change cars. So I thought for a minute and decided I'd be better off buying a runaround for that price instead of giving up the zed. In other news I've convinced my girlfriend what a lovely car these are and may be looking at a 370z in the New Year.
  19. Yeah I struggled to get 40mpg but after the remap I had more power and far better return on careful driving. Only got this picture but you get the idea.
  20. I too had a 56 plate C220 that's the only reason I'm considering it as I had my old one remapped and it was very impressive for what it was at returned 62mpg on a good run down the M5
  21. Oh I'm in a catch 22. Car should be an easy fix, been offered a good price for the car in exchange for a CLC220 and later this summer I could pick up a tidy GTR.
  22. Mines on just gone over 29k on the clock. Clutch wasn't high or anything.
  23. Ok so my car got taken back to the garage I bought it from. They've said it could be a maste/slave cylinder that's gone. If its the clutch they'll sort it through the warranty. However if there is damage to the flywheel they say it could be expensive however I may source my own parts as it will be cheaper and probably better.
  24. The clutch slipped then stopped working all together. Clutch pedal has no resistance and just drops to the footwell.
