  1. As per title, how low can you go spring wise before you need adjustable camber arms.

Want to lower a little, but don't want expense of camber arms.

Also most springs seem to drop about 30mm (which I assume would need camber arms)?

Any make lower a little less?

Its for a roadster (if that matters)...which I think it must as tein list different part numbers for coupe and roadster. Probably cause the roadster has a lardy ass.

  2. What car are you coming from Luke? I find the 350z feels slow, but thats because my previous cars have either had big lumps up front, or were turbo'd.

As for spinning in second - mine does a brief spin if its wet or when the tyres are cold - otherwise not enough power.

  3. Depends if you want to go with a company or a local guy.

Depending on what colour you car is, your paint / prep stuff will be around 80 quid. Then you have time.

300 is about right for a garage.

    240ish for a local guy.

The 350z bumper is easy to take off....ask the garage a price if you remove it yourself.

  4. Looks good cs2000

Agree the darker ones would like kind of funny against the silver car.

Hopefully the dark ones I got from you will be okay against azure...my current reflectors are dark.

If not, I'll follow your link and have a go at making them.

    Cheers

  5. Has anyone done miltek with decats? Wondering if the noise differs much from the hfc?

Got a milltek at present...way to quiet.

Decats are getting put on in a few weeks (after next MOT) - probably too loud then but we will see.

So one one here must already have a milltek with decats???

  6. I would have got the guys in Falkirk to knock up a custom unit, but the 350z I ended up buying already had a milltek. And when you go custom you could always get a removable centre muffler.....best of both worlds.

    01324 622832 is their number.

  7. Having had my exhaust custom built I went with long life after doing my research. My local long life is awesome, and it comes with life time guarantee. Not sure on your location, but their are 4 long life places around Kilmarnock, sterling and Edinburgh.

Anywhere out from the harthill services in either direction is fine, Edinburgh stirling I can get to these no probs. Where abouts was the one you went to?

Try Stainless Creations in Falkirk if your going custom. Good friendly guys. Removed my center baffles on V8 RS4 - fitted custom stainless piping straight through. Not to expensive either. If you take your z down they'll through it up on the ramps and give you a quote there and then.

  8. Milltek

Agree with Spud - milltek nice and quiet (maybe too quiet) and good quality - unsure cost though, probably above your budget.

Try a few suppliers - you never know, someone may do a deal.

  9. Thats pretty much the colour I'm after! The shade of gunmetal the 350z seems to have is a tricky one.... sometimes it looks to have a slight purply tint and other times a more blue tint! Reckon when I get some spare cash I might just go for it and see.

Decide on a paint shade, then nip down to your local paint store. Ask the guy what colours are in the Nissan GM paint (there will be various tints added). Then chose one of the tints, and get that added to the base colour. That way on sunny days, the metallic hues will match.....

Did the same with my old Evo - paint tint from Mitsi silver (which is blue) added to gunmetal paint - worked a treat.

Once you start thinking about polished lips and such - the costs spiral....not to mention the hours keeping them tip top.

  10. So what Renault does the VQ have a home. I was under the impression that although Nissan are partners with Renault the 350z was a purely Nissan. Also off topic I haven't looked to closely at this but do you think the 350z was a bit of a test bed for the R35 GTR .

Nope doubt it....the GTR is a completely different beast. The r35 does have a V-engine but thats about the only common link. Believe (from various junk floating around the internet at time) that Nissan did hope to keep config of old straight 6, but emissions and so on forced them to look elsewhere - hence the V.

  11. There's one for sale here.

Follow the link in that thread and there's a picture of one on a roadster...looks quite nice.

    Pete

check on fleabay .... same pic used for a spoiler from Poland????

I did contact guy and he said that it may fit the roadster - a lot of help!!!

Still its 85 quid plus postage - cheaper than your "link" one.

    Hope this helps.
