  1. Got a brand new (never played) Les paul Smartwood in a cupboard!!!! Great guitar - better weighted than my previous Les Paul Custom.

Probably not many of them around now but great guitars and different that the usual mainstream blanks.

Also got a '68/69 AC30 amp in the same cupboard......think this one might be worth a couple of quid (when i eventually get the dust of it).

  2. Running lights in '05 reflectors will be aftermarket mod, in most cases wired to the sidelights, if the side lights still work then it will be the lights in the reflector themselves.

Bumper off requires removal of the six poppers on the top, two bolts behind arch liners each side and two bolts on bottom corners and then possibly then OEM chin spoiler/deflector will need removing

As mentioned today, bumper removal seems daunting....but is actually very easy on the 350Z. :D Glad to see your keeping it shiny :teeth:

  4. Track use has no bearing on IMS failure, or bore scoring. If anything it'll help, as you'll be circulating the fluids properly. If anything, not driving it hard when warm is the worst thing, and short trips are pretty lethal.

So thrash the bugger?? Like that idea.

  5. Ekona - have no idea about Porsches but I will google the bits you mentioned.

Car has just had a geo done along with BIG (gulp....pricey) service.

Who did the geo? There's a proper geo by an expert, and then there's just getting it back in the green. The chassis on these cars are so good, you'll get the best out by going to the specialists.

I take it you didn't get an inspection done before hand? If not, and at fear of terrifying you, google RMS and especially IMS failure. Also there's a chance of bore scoring, which the LTT can help prevent which is why I mentioned it.

Nah, didn't get inspection done. And did look at the IMS stuff on internet. Car has full service history and had rear seal done at last service.

Have all invoices and so on since new, and car seems well looked after.

I will not be tracking it so not "to" :scare: :scare: worried about the bearing failure.....if it happens it happens.Got car for a very good price hence have some dosh left over if anything goes pop. Seems no ryme or reason for failures anyway - although low oil / heavy track use seems likely cause.

Had a good run in it today - and I stand corrected. It is faster than the 350z...very deceptive speed though.

  6. Great choice

Get the Hartech low temp stat fitted to protect your investment, as well as some front mesh for the rads & condensers. Go see Chris at Center Gravity for a geo too, the man is a genius :)
