  1. These are heavily enhanced though aren't they? I know carbon black looks very dark blue in some lights but I've never seen it look like that. Looks like saturation has been whacked up full on them. Not knocking the pics at all just curious.

Second post of hate lol? No idea, il ask but the light where it was taken was very direct. I can post the pics from my iPhone if it makes a difference but there not massively different to these, they obvs have a filter of some sort to make everything more intense but just makes them look better I think?

  2. i love the pic of my mates m3, honeslty the paint is weird. its carbon black but looks really blue in some light and a shape of purple in others. Its a fanstatic colour.

And if any1 in the northwest area fancies a meet up that would be ace, always to have a gathering and a anorak talk about cars lol

  3. Id love a supra and always wanted one but i cant justify spending 10k plus on a manual tt 92' reg car that with no features apart from a big engine lol.zeds are becoming the cheapest of all the rwd nissans really, even dog rusty s13's and s14's are growing in value. i sold my s14a with basic ods for 3.5k and i only paid 2.5 for it 2 years ago lol

  4. Well, what do you want? A proper true duel setup to allow gasses to flow more freely from the engine, or do you want a new exhaust that sounds a better?

One is more expensive than the other, but ultimately worth it.

Mate please don't act like a true dual is a massive performance system that's so much different to a standard cat back, what we talking, 3bhp difference lol.

Just rang PipeWerx who made my screamer pipe for my old s14a and they quoted 600 if I supply an x piece :(

Maybe il see if a good system comes up for sale second hand as I'm not in a rush

  5. Did this a few months back and clicking noise has completly gone, even after my tackday there is still no noise!

I think people saying that the noise came back need to maybe think about what grease to use, i used copper grease as its water proof, many others will just degrade and come off when they get wet and the noise will return.

  6. Be intrested to see if you got good gains on an SC'd Zed, in which case I may be intrested - the kinetix V1 was known for blowing the welds (here come the F and F quotes) on high boost FI Zeds.

The manifold im doing is for an N/A zed, FI is a different beast and would warrent a different design. If there was enough interest then i will come up with a design and will need a test car, but as the majority of us owners will be N/A il be sorting that out first.

I just begrudge paying nearly a grand for an intake when i know i can design and manufacture one for half that. And im surprised to hear that the kinetic ones fail on the welds, that sopunds bad quality and i can stress that anything i do would be fully purged when welding and id pressure test the manifold to assure quality.

  7. Hi guys just a feeler thread-

I've been looking into intake manifolds since I bought the zed and I'd love a kinetic plenum as they seem off reviews to give good gains but there also the thick end of £800 quid and seem to all come from the states.

I'm going to be fabbing up the plenum aften I've finished the inventor 3d model and get it dyno'ed to give before and after results.

The main question is, is this something that other zed owners would be intrested in? A proven intake plenum, made well with all the supporting calculations and proven dyno results around the £500 or below mark?

If my example works out well I may start to manufacture these in small batches and wonder if others may be as intrested as I am in unlocking more gains than a spacer can give?

  8. Why would you want free view in your Car? More time driving, less time sat in a car park watching dave would be my thoughts

It's for luring young children into my car watching cbbc haha.

Nah just be a cool option to have if I'm waiting or when I go camping on a road trip planned this summer.

I'm more interested really in the sat nav module as would like that option but not paying over 300 quid for a kenwood item lol.

  9. Il start off this with I'm going to get a kenwood ddx double din head unit and I'm going to run the rear view camera as show in the sticky on here on how to instal it and the unit itself.

Now, it has an aux option on the head unit that you use for the rear cAmera, but you can also buy two and three way splitters to run different Outputs, and I'm hoping to use one or two.

Basically, apart from paying 350 quid for a kenwood sat nav module, are there any universal units that will use the aux lead and my double din screen to output a display onto? A box in affect that gives me sat nav and uses the screen to display and to work???

Next question is that it would be also cool to run a freeview box but my only consern is signal? Searching the web it seems signal when parked up can be hard to receive and has any1 any experience or recommendations of what aerial to buy if I wanted to revive a good signal and get channels working?

    Thanks on advance :)

  10. I just don't get what the point of this is unless your suspension has been replaced with solid iron girders to stop the wheels moving(and that this would fall foul of UK MOT laws as the wheels and tyres are past the arch) . Image below stolen from the US site

lol, the old rim poke debate. Honeslty, dont belive the hype, the only people who moan its illegal and fail mot's are the people who run gay 8j wheels haha.

Ive run 9.5 and 10j on my s14a for 3 years with a 225 and 235 tire with loads of poke and low and never failed an mot or been pulled. its not illegal and is a grey area that no police or test station cares about lol

  11. This is the best one IMHO:

    :teeth:

Intresting but cant seem to find them manifolds for sale?

Are there any actual home made intakes that people have made as ive found a few on the U.S like - http://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/551343-z-fever-anatomy-of-a-custom-made-vq35-intake-manifold.html

Im a fabricator by trade and work as a design enigineer and im itching to get cracking on an intake but i cant find any actual proven designs as im not paying the 700 quid an kinetix manifold costs or 1k for a cosworth one?
