Hi everyone,
Throwing myself at someone's mercy to be honest.
Cannot for the life of me carry out the TB reset on my 04 GT.
Long story short fell into the trap of moving the butterfly by hand to clean and here we are.
After already trying Arnold Clark and the little faith I had be oblitorated, I'm looking to fix it 'in house' so to speak.
Basically anyone out there in my vacinity that can confidently reset the TB I'm more than willing to come to you or vice versa - whatever suits?? Obviously whatever beer token format is ready and waiting.
Thank you,
Craig.

Best 5 quid I've ever spent was on one of those flexi magnetic pick up tools.
Saved me many an hour retrieving stuff!!!
-
Not sure if someone else has noted this on another thread but Hobbycraft stock
the Humbrol 54 caliper paint.
Picking up a tin this afternoon for £1.62

theheff,
Absolutely bloody wonderful mate, exactly the ideas / progress that I had in mind.
Appreciate the input - keep up the good work mate
Craig.

Afternoon everyone, I'm looking for a picture of a particular set up.
Criteria is:
- Gun Metal Grey 350
- Standard Rays
- Tein 15mm Springs
- 20mm Fr / 25 Rr spacers
This is ideally what I'm looking for my car but I'm only finding
one or two of the items in any given photo.
Thanks in advance.
Craig.

Take it there isn't a designated fuse for these washers - if so have you checked that?
You've done everything I would have tried tbh ?

Just recently bought the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (not the Note).
Had a massive debate with myself whether to buy the Note over
the standard Tab 2.
Based on my lack of use for some of the Notes 'main' features
I shelled out the £279 for the Tab2 from Tesco.
Upon intial usage its been faultless, and has carried out all
tasks well and smoothly. I too by nature hate following a brand purely
based on sales figures and much prefer to buy a product that suits my needs.
Similarly I have the Galaxy S2 and obviously felt right at home with the basic operation
of the tablet.
All in all the advice I can offer is; if you have a purpose for the higher end Note then buy it
but if not, the Tab2 is still a very good product.
A bit of advice I was given from the Samsung rep in Tesco; Samsung will probably not run
another £50 cashback offer on their tablets so it's not worth holding out for another one (like I was ).

If thats all it takes ill be over the moon. Will report back tomorrow when i get a chance
to try it out :-)

Up to the top ... hold for 5 seconds ... down to the bottom ... hold for 5 seconds ... job jobbed ( I think ? )
Thanks for that. Thought i read that there is a little button actually on the motor that had
to be held down whilst pressing the main window switch up and down respectively.??
-
Thanks lads, just thought the window reset just 'taught' the window where
to start and finish so to speak. Cant understand how it tells the motor to drop and rise ?
Reading the guide, its just a case of removing the door card and the sticky cover then
proceed with the resetting ?
-
As above really, have read the guides and theres not really
a catagoric answer. My pass window fails to drop upon opening but if i push
it down half an inch it raises automatically when the door is shut??
If i keep the door ajar i can hear the motor operating when the door light switch
Is depressed. Everything works fine (window operates perfectly with the main switch).
Just dont fancy stripping the motor down when a window reset will suffice.
Thanks in advance for any advice that you can give.

Out of interest is the cleaner like brake & clutch cleaner,
it evaporates instantly ?
Craig.

I know there are sites for this type of product - just wondered
if if onyone had carried out a similar method to mine and had no troubles with the MAF sensor.
Heard the oil application can cause MAF problems ?

Morning All,
Had a dig about and can't find a definative answer to this.
I had an impreza with a 'Green' cotton panel filter and used to
wash it in a rich fairy liquid mixture, agitate with a soft brush
then dry on a low heat radiator.
Never owned a K&N before, what does everyone else do to clean them ?
Craig.
-
Cheers mate. Yeah, dundee born and bred.
Got car back - over the moon, cant speak highly enough of these guys.
Car's getting there slowly but surely. All part of the fun i suppose lol.
-
Wow, thanks to everyone for the most warm welcome
I know exactly how it goes - you promise yourself "I'm keeping it standard"
and you then read someone's post and think "now that looks brilliant" and
before you know it you're asking about superchargers
Was a fairly long term member on SIDC and those lads were exactly the same.
Car's in the paint shop today for a a bit of car park battle scar repair (previous owner).
Will report back soon with how it looks. Company I'm using is called P+H Refinishers,
based in Brewrey Lane in Dundee. They're Toyota, Struan's contractor, have seen previous work
on my father's car by them - pretty bloody good imo.
Craig.

Hi everyone,
Thought I'd introduce myself - not long been a member.
Only just bought myself my first 350, absolutely love it !!
Will get some pics up at some point, only got it last Thur and it's needing
a little tlc. Once it's looking respectable I'll fire up some snaps.
Basics are : Standard '04 Gun Metal Grey UK GT (with obligatory skippy Bose)
Have already been in contact with Mr. Alex Thoms re. iridium plugs. It was very obvious
he's highly regarded within the forum even by my very limited trawling. So thought it best
not to mess about and get the wallet out
Anyway just a wee hello and I'll no doubt be back on soon with queries and the likes.
Craig.

Think it's down mate. Just count how many clicks you have at the moment, turn the little wheel 5 or 6 times them count the clicks again Craig.
