Nice thread, with regards to your air filter I'd advise a hydro sock or bypass valve from personal experience!

All be it in a cubic type R but you can be unlucky. Iv WAS lucky with some really deep standing water and then UNLUCKY with some far shallower water that resulted in hyrdolock and a cracked block and sump!

although im not sure how well it would fit onto a JDM bumper with the smaller recess.

iv tried looking into this but not got very far, The boofsquire looks good but expensive and importing.hassles

there must be a easier solution of having something local that fits...

Iv just fitted mine and it sounds good with the bungs in, but is pretty loud (dare to think what its like without bungs). But its a weekend short trip car so hopefully wont get on my nerves.

As for fitment the centre pipe clears ok but the right hand can doesn't sit as well as the left. It hangs a little low. Cheap and cheerful so cant complain i guess.

It will do till im willing to splash a bit more on another system.

Would just like to say a big thanks to Sly for fitting my Y-pipe back exhaust this morning, seeing as didn't fancy laying out on the drive with the car on axle stands given the current climate and me being plain lazy.

He fitted me in a short notice, was a pleasure to meet and service was second to none. Free 50 point check and wheel alignment you cant go wrong.

Brilliant workshop with a lovely R35 to ogle at while he worked away and a lovely cup of coffee within 5 minutes of arriving.

Will be returning for any other work i need doing for sure.

i can fold the mirrors in and out on the switch but nothing when locking? oh well was just feature i would of liked to have.

Hi been reading a bit on here and lurking around for a while but finally signed up.

Got my Z, 2 weeks ago good to be back in a Nissan after selling my pride and joy 200SX S14a a while ago.

Iv got a 70K JDM import that's standard, well for now anyway. I cant help but get the spanners out when i get a new car.

I have a couple of questions though:

I don't have tilting and folding mirrors that i thought was standard on JDMs could this be because it might have a UK mirror switch etc? There are no Japanese switches on the car. No real obv signs of an import except the square rear plate. Guess this was all done when it was imported?

Already fitted a decent head unit and have an exhaust to go on this weekend.

Looks like a friendly site im sure ill be sticking around.
