Hello all, My engine maintenance light was flashing and then going off for a few days in the last week - always on revving up past 3000 and uphill? Anyways I left it and then on Wed the light came on and stayed on - same driving situation as before. I have carried out the manual code check and ECU reset and it's reading P0300 = Random missfire" Car running well, other than oil pressure light flashing on braking hard despite adequate oil. Due for a service next month at 58k miles and an 07' car. No mods other than cobra exhaust but thats been on for months Any ideas???

Ok, I will call auto electrician tomorrow and see if they can help - seems Im gonna have to get bumper off to make sure its secured correctly. Not sure about hacking away at the rewiring myself Thanks for replies

So it appears that the cable was the rear parking sensor.....how do I know you may ask?! Well on the way home (to fix with tie wraps) it melted onto the exhaust - only slightly and pealed it of, but now when I put the car into reverse it beeps non stop!!!!!! Anyone know where I can source a new rear sensor? - perhaps when the garage are changing exhaust they can fit the new one?

Good point. I will try and sort it out now, but failing that I am getting a new exhaust fitted Next wed so when they have that off and are under the car the mystery cable can be put in its rightful place

Hi folks, Not sure which section of the forum to put this in really. Just noticed the other day that there is what seems like a cable hanging out from under the rear bumper. Any idea what this is? It seems to have just come loose and I can feed it back up under the bumper to save it dragging on the road and getting damaged, however, virtually every time I stop/park and have a look its hanging out again. I presume there is a pin or way of fixing this back up that has just come loose. Any advice on what works best to keep it where it should be? Also what is it? Thanks.

Hello again boys and girls!! Having a bit of a nightmare with the zed at the moment - exhaust corroded which I was about to buy/fix, service due (happening tomorrow) and toay just noticed a fair bit of rust round the drivers side, rear wheel arch! I will try and upload some photos. Hi folks, Took the 350z to the garage today as thought there was some corrosion of the exhaust....I was right The guy at the garage tells me it's the exhaust centre and rear silencer that need replacing?!? cs2000: I'm really not too sure, they said that the bush has deteriorated (I directly quoted the MOT above as my knowledge is very limited) but they say you can't just put a new bush on, rather, you have to replace the whole suspension arm?? I apologise for my ignorance.
