  1. I had a scorpion on my 2008 HR with a stillen y pipe and really liked the sound of it but when i added berk hfc's , as jp606 says made the scorpion sound very raspy/buzzy and imho spoil the sound, i ended up selling the scorpion and fitting a milltek.

  2. Hi nij, where are you based? Might be up for selling my zed I have a 2008 twilight grey with black leather with 26k on clock, but has milltek, Berks HFCs and uprev, hardly using it as I work away, sits in garage 3 weeks a month, owned for about 2 1/2 years done about 7k miles in that time. It's in mint condition, you can see it in gallery give us a shout if your interested,

  3. Gixxer, agree with you about being totally informed before jumping in ,but for me to jump in to a car expensive to purchase/maintain then have the worry of it going wrong does not sit comfy with me, plus the amount of horror stories on the net, seems like only 5-10% are not affected with engine issues

cheers for the heads up mate

  4. marzman, it sound like you've hit the nail on the head for me as I want to tick it off my list but scared I might regreat making the move from a really nice 350hr into a car that im worried about reliability and scared to use to the full in case I land up with a big bill.

Thanks guys, for all your inputs ;)

  5. Hi Ekona, really would have to be 911 or Cayman 3.4s but does seem a bit of a minefield getting one with a healthy engine and then worrying about damaging it when you give it a thrashing, have you any idea how much a bore inspection would cost and is this a guarantee that it wont develop scoring in the future?

  6. Have read up a bit about issues with bore scoring, and ims on Cayman/911 3.4,3.6 and on newer 3.8s engines so does make me wary about purchase.

Tbh I'm a bit disappointed that a company with a reputation for reliable well engineered products has had ongoing issues on its engines for several years.

  7. Might be looking to change my 350HR later in the year so have been looking at other options, already asked about bmw z4m coupe earlier in week, so has anybody got experience of driving/owning a 996 C4S? and how does it compare to the 350z.

    Cheers,

    Gordy

  8. Had my 313 hr for a couple of years, its been a great car and having fitted milltek/stillen y pipe/berk hfc's/uprev map/ mpss and alpine+hertz audio the car go's and sounds so much better than the standard car but feel it's maybe time for a change.

So has anyone got any experience driving/living with the z4m coupe vs 350z as i've always liked the look of them, press reviews of the car say its a bit flawed but owners past and present seem to love them, i'm aware the suspension needs fettling to get them to handle/ride well on our @*!# UK roads.

    Cheers,
