  1. Right guys just an update, this error code is also effecting the way the car revs. For example just a slight dip of the accelerator pedal and the car hesitates around 1500rpm (I had another post about gear changes not being smooth so at least I know its all linked). Anyway I have had the car at local garage and they did the throttle position re-learning procedure and still the car was not running right. They then changed the relay on the throttle body which seemed to cure the lumpy rev problem but just my luck, as soon as I was about to pick it up the the issue is back (although more when car is warm then cold now). So question is, do you think it will need a new throttle body? I hear my car has 2 throttle bodies so anyone know which one is the issue normally? I have heard that Nissan want in excess of £1000 per throttle body so really hoping I can try something else....? My garage has been awaiting a call from Nissan technician to see if they have seen this issue before but really just hoping you guys would have some other ideas to try first? Anyone seen anything similiar before? Thanks
  2. Thanks Marzman - appreciate it! Will def give this a go!
  3. Hi guys Car: 350z 07 313gt Had the EML light on for some time and finally got the car read and came back with error P2100 which I know is related to the accelerator control unit. Just wandering if anyone has had a similair issue? I know my car is not smooth under gentle acceleration or from a standing start so that explains a lot So what can I expect in terms of cost to fix it? Can I get a second hand part? Any advice would be appreciated so I can make sure I know what to expect before I give it to the garage... Also just a note, took the car to MGT-Racing in Nuneaton and they knew their stuff and were very helpful
  4. OK brought the one from Amazon and still no joy... It basically read that was an error and it said: Fault: 01 Pend: 01 Tried to get the actual code and it said n/a which means the monitor is not supported! Although this device should work on a 350z! So what else can I try? Worst case I will try Nissan maindealer but just rather invest in something that will probably save me cash in the long run! Ive read about JOBD scanners rather than OBD? The car is UK spec though (as far as I know)! Thanks guys!
  5. Hi guys, Had an EML on my 350z (07 313) for about 2 weeks now. I took it to a local garage that originally erased the error but then it came back. Second time around they gave me an error code P2A00 which dont make sense! Went back again as it came on for the 3rd time and was told by the mechanic that I need to take it to Nissan to get the correct error code.. He said the OBD machines dont give Nissan error codes... Now I have seen a list of the error codes on this website so just want to know what OBD machine can I purchase to give me the correct error code (correct format so I can query on this website)... I did try the pedal trick but just came up with 3 fast flashing lights (after the 10 slow) but nothing more.. Thanks guys
  6. As far as I know its OEM. Only just purcashed the car but will take a pic over next few days....
  7. Hi guys On my 07 313 the right hand exhaust (drivers side) sticks out about 2 inch further then the left. They are both drop the same height though! It does look a little odd when looking straight at the rear of the car and cant see this being the norm..? Any ideas whats causing this? Thanks
  8. Fair comment guys! I think I will try and lower the biting point as I think that will help! Dont think I get any crunching or anything when changing gears its probably more accelerator related.. Its just if I over rev it then car feels like it wants to shoot off... If I under rev it then get the jerk and look like a plonker... Time will help im sure...glad its not just me though!
  9. Hi guys, Got a 07 350z 313 with GT Pack, but was wandering how smoothly can you change gear? I am not expecting a 100% smooth change all the time, but in traffic I dont want to jearking around when changing from 1st to 2nd. Do you normally change after 3000rpm in 1st? I notice that if I am in 2nd and doing less than 1500rpm then a slight touch on the accelerator and im likely the car will jerk about? Clutch does have quite a high biting point (is that normal?) but never had such an issue with driving a performance car smoothly in traffic! Gear changes are fine when I express myself though
  10. Hi guys, I recently had the EML light on. As per my other post, I did put in normal unleaded when I first got my car but have since added 1/2 tank of super unleaded. Anyhow the EML was initially cleared but it has now come back on. The code im getting is P2A00 which i think points to the O2 sensor circuit. Any ideas of what this could be related too or how best to get to get it fixed? Thanks
  11. Ok because I was at work I gave the car to my dad who took it to the garage... Despite telling him I wanted the exact error code.....I was told it started with a 9 and had something to do with the fuel.. So basically they have cleared the error and thats all I know It will be driven gently until I can top it up properly and hopefully the error code wont be back again!
  12. Thanks guys for your quick comments! Glad to hear it wont do any major damage! In fact I cant wait for the power to increase when I stick some proper fuel in it! Will stick the code up shortly. Just at a garage now getting looked at! Hopefully wont be anything major...or at least covered by the dealers warranty!
  13. Hi guys, I only brought my 07 350z yesterday. Its the 313 version with GT pack. Got to say what a lovely machine!! I have owned a few 'fast' cars over the years but they have all been german in the past. Anyhow like a fool, I just put in normal Shell unleaded yesterday (full tank). Having done a quick search I know that is now a mistake Anyhow I drove the car home yesterday on the motorway back from the dealer (approx 100 miles) and in the evening gave the car a hard run for about 5 miles. Started the car this morning and got the EML on I have a feeling this is related to the fact I put in Unleaded and not super unleaded. I will post the error codes in next few hours once its getting checked. Question is have I done any long term damage? Can I just top up with Super Unleaded and clear the EML light? Shall i add some fuel addicitive to boost the current unleaded thats in the car? Any other thoughts... So gutted....but will not make this mistake again!
