Im only down to just over 2.5mm on the outer edge on my passenger side front, thats it. The rest of that tyre and the other 3 tyres are all around 4-5mm.
If I understand correctly, the tyre has to be over 1.6mm over 75% of the width, so if that 2mm drops below 1.6mm its not illegal as over 75% of the tyre is well over the limit, am i correct?
Not that I want to be messing about with the only part of the car that touches the road, but I'd like to wait until Camksill get stock on the MPSS if I can, legally of course.

How are you finding the VREDs? You're right though at £854 (plus £12 delivery with Camskill) the PSS are good value if they ever have any stock in. Add another £40 for fitting and it's still a reasonable price. I think my RE040's (standards) are getting low now and maybe tram lining, so sooner rather than later they will have to go.
-
Michelen Pilot Super Sports are £854 for all four on Camskill (when they have stock)
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta are £996 for all four on Camskill and they have stock.
However, My tyres have totally the opposite prices
VREDs Fronts 194 Rear 224 = £836
Michelen Pilot Super Sports - Front - 241 each Rear 296 = £1074
I'm coming upto 10,000 miles now tyres need replacing, but I don't welcome shelling out over a grand when you include fitting.

I'm in the UK. Always have been.
Anyway, I used a Porsche specialist, Neinmeister in Warrington for the geometry on my M3 so will probably go there again, unless anyone can recommended somewhere in the North West of England.

Nver had that issue with mine - has always felt very planted although I did have soome tramlining that was cured by replacing the Stones with Sessies.
VREDs?

Bit of a hard one to describe, but my 370 doesn't feel as stable and planted at speed as I think it should, its certainly not as stable as my M3 was. Its fine at lower speeds, but just feels light and vague at motorway speeds.
I read somewhere that improved/thicker ARB's could beef it up a bit, I'm going to get the tracking checked also.
I don't think its tramlining on the tyres, it just feels a little vague and overall a little uneasy to drive at speed (70 mph+).
It's under warranty, but I'd like the opinions of fellow owners before letting Nissan loose on it.
Thanks.

Just renewed with David at SKY. Happy with the final price I paid.
£592. 9 Years protected NCB. 10,000 miles p/a, kept on Driveway.

From reading that thread it looks like L&G in Manchester are my best bet.

I may be missing something completly obvious here. I can see all the proffesional traders subforum, but is there a list/forum for recommended independent specialist garages?
If not, then can anyone recommend an independent garage in Cheshire/North West.
Thanks.

So its quite high normally then? I think the judder more so when cold could be the bearings or plates which seems to be a common issue.
-
I've only had the 370 for three weeks, but over previous cars the clutch biting point seems quite high in relation to the overall pedal travel. Is this normal, and if I'm a little quick releasing and not applying any gas I get a slight judder when pulling away (like a slip, but literally very slight), and wondered if a) this was normal and if I should be looking at sending it into the dealers. Its only got 6400 miles! I dont think even that can be said is wear and tear. Cheers!

West Way Rochdale were OK with me, usual salesman talk etc but as soon as they realised I was serious they cut all the bull and hunted down for a deal. Also had a good experience with the Service Manager at West Way Manchester.
I like to ammend this I've left 3 messages for the Service Manager now at Manchester (after we had made an agreement that suited us both), and had no call back. Called today and he's on holiday for a week, and no-one else can help me Next Monday morning he'll be getting another call. All this for £15.....

I watched the video yesterday, comparing a standard car to a modified car to me, is always a big no no. I agree with whats been said already, the Z maybe a 8 tenths car, but its useable as that and day to day you cannot drive a car at 10 tenths.

Hello, I'm Badger AKA Dave, Picked up my first ever Nissan yesterday, the 370z. Its quite alot different from my old E46 M3 and its quite hard to do a direct comparison as they are totally different cars. Enjoying it so far! Quick pic, will get a proper thread up once the rain stops and I can get outside and clean it properly!

Am I correct in thinking that outer tyre edge wear could either be caused by cornering or miss alignment?
Is it worth getting a full geo done on my current tyres? it's around £84 at the specialist I use.
