  1. Hi all, Just had a full service and some work done (new front discs and pads, new belts plus some rust on the cat seen to) at H-Dev but a couple of other issues came to light. They all will be similar in cost to put right but of course I don't have the luxury to get them all sorted at once. The question is, in what priority would you get the following dealt with?: Front bushes needing replacing Front + back drop links replacing (creaky rear syndrome) Front wheel bearings needing replacing Any input helpful.
  2. +1 for Jez @ H-Dev Did a P1 service for me today along with some additional work including new front discs and pads. Great honest service, sound advice and good value. Can't imagine why I would ever get work done elsewhere in the future. Full pricing details are available http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index2.php?page=350ZServicing
  3. I have started another thread for chat regarding the possible meetup in Reading. viewtopic.php?f=93&t=63483
  4. Get involved, especially after the hard work you put into my Z today - running like a puddy tat :-) Never got a chance to say thanks in person, I'll drop you an email.
  5. 10th sounds pretty good for me. Best we move this to the 'Meet up' thread, rather than randomly on my welcome page, seems a little self centered? :-)
  6. Silver, pics to come up shortly when it's back from Jez @ H-Dev. You can't miss it as the (standard) number plate almost reads "Geek", which funnily enough I guess I am.
  7. Haha, I work for Canalys (the analyst firm), we do a lot of work with you guys. I don't actually look after the Symantec account myself but our guys are up at your offices pretty often. It seems all the Reading Z'ers are coming out the woodwork, could be a chance for a cheeky little Madejski meet up! Actually bumped into a guy on Weldale Street on Sunday night. Had my car parked there and as I walked around the corner he was crouched down with his hands around my rear calipers! With heart in my mouth I walked over (expecting him to run off) but he stood up (much bigger than me, eek!) and waited for me to approach him. Ends up he was a fellow Z'er who has some problem with his rear brakes at the moment and was checking to see what movement I had on mine. Also ends up he works on the door at a club in town so embarrassingly enough he seemed to remember me, although likely in a more more drunken state. Nice chap though.
  8. Small world, as I swear I see you almost every morning! I live in central Reading but work in Grazeley (when I am in the office that is), so I turn down Mereoak Lane which I assume is your route up to the A33 and Medejski. Give me a flash next time ( and please refrain from the inevitable puns fellow forum goers!)
  9. Welcome mate. A newbie myself here (although have had my 'Zed for a while now). Based in Reading but back in Bracknell lots due to family.
  10. Completely standard GT in silver with black leather albeit a stubby! So not much to get you drooling over, will snap some pics later and throw them up for fun anyway. Saying that it's going in for a service at H-Dev tomorrow. Am bracing myself for the odd needed repair, but assuming nothing too major I might have a few quid to put into something. Thing for me is I actually adore the vanilla styling so don't have any grand ideas of modding. More likely to get some paint chips dealt with, wheels refurbed (maybe a little bit darker), windows tinted, rear wiper delete etc. Thanks for the welcome message.
  11. Hi all, I wanted to take a brief opportunity to introduce myself having recently signed up to the forums. I currently own a '53 GT which I've had for around a year and a half now, and of course enjoying every minute. I am based in Reading and although not directly relevant, my passion is technology so if there is ever anyone in need of tech advice/support (be that car related or not) I encourage you to say hello. I also wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the various advice/help threads. Although I have only recently started to give them all a read through they have been incredibly insightful and I look forward to learning more from the community.
