  1. Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone can kindly help me out if possible Well with lockdown the Zed has been parked up and of course the battery died - I removed the battery to charge overnight but now i'm getting a 'Code in' error on the Bose HU. I've called my local Nissan dealership but they are asking me to book an appointment :-( I'm guessing with lockdown business must be slow. Anyway i'd rather not have to visit the dealership being i'm in the high risk covid group. Is anyone on the forum able to retrieve the code if i provide all the required info from the back of the HU? Thanks in advance - i know its an big ask
  2. Thanks Guys, Ordered the Pilot Super Sport XL's from tyreleader
  3. Hi Guys, i need some new front tyres on my 08 350z GT i can get the RE050A for a resonable price - just wondering if there is any pro's / cons for the XL varient Thanks in Advance Parmb
  4. Hi Guys, I'm after some advice please I need a set of front pads on my 08 350z GT Brembo calipers. I've seen these http://www.nextdaybrakes.com/info-part-finder?make=Nissan&model=300+Series&Car.x=32&Car.y=23&engine=3.5000&year=0&search=Part+Number Brembo - PN: P56047 @ £40 - which seem to be the ones. However why is there such a big price difference to the OEM Brembo one's @ £121 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-Z33-Brembo-Car-Replacement-Front-Brake-Pads-Set-4-D10F0CD00C-/111430492596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item19f1c661b4 are both these not Brembo? Dont drive the car hard, wife use's it to go wrk and back, maybe gets a little abuse from me on the weekends. any other suggestions ? Thanks in advance Parmb
  5. Not see this linked here you go http://akuma-z.com/auto/index.php?dir=nissan_fsm/
  6. Hi All, Can anyone provide any further comments on this mod viewtopic.php?f=35&t=52268 I tried it and can confirm the car is easier to drive (gear change) as now i idont have to float my foot in the air at biting point - so smoother takeoff & gear change However, reading further into this, the pedal is now completly out of nissan spec as per; http://www.competitionclutch.com/tech/PUB-6072-1.pdf - not sure if this is even for a 2008 350z If i release the Clutch i have slight play at the top before it engages, not sliping when i cnage gears - but am i doing any damage by running this mod? I'm worried its disengaging the clutch but still ringing the thrust bearing - if that makes sence Advice appreciated. Thanks (noob Zed owner)
  7. Thanks for the info much appreciated Every car I've had you could just dump to launch at say 3k I know it's bad for the clutch :-( But how do you guys launch your z from standstill ?
  8. Hi Guys, I'm a proud new owner of a 08 350z :-) Clutch bite is high but reading various posts this is normal however when launching from say 4K the pedal stick's halfway and clutch burn is smelt - Try not to drive this way so didnt really check on the test drive. Apart from that drove it for 3 hours straight no issues, no slipage in slipage in shifts, etc. or can these not be lauched by dumping the clutch? I'm hoping bleeding may fix, i've read the procedure, just dont know where the bleed nipple is located can anyone advise please Thanks in advance
  9. i called this dealership up http://www.nissanusedcars.co.uk/en.GB/p ... ct=1649649 the 1st service p1 was done at 17k - hence intervals were 18k apart i also saw anther on in leeds and the car had 3 stamps advertised as FSH but staps were 18K or under apart - walked away after aguing it shouild be 9k apart, the guy shwed me a page in the book where it clearly stated yr 1 or 18k, year 2 or 36k etc so is it possible to have 18k service inerval on the zed? all other cars seem 9k i.e. Evo, impreza are @ 9k thanks again
  10. Hi All, I'm looking at a 350z need one urgently as my s60T5 has seized (dont ask) I've read the thread here about service schedule - basically 350z serviced every year or 9k - makes sense performance car but "This assumes an annual mileage of less than 18,000 miles a year and is taken directly from the Nissan Maintenance booklet pages 18 and 19" I don't understand this, some cars I've seen the 18k schedule was applied? I didn't think a performance car could have 18k service schedule do Nissan put in a different grade of oil to allow 18k schedule, or are the stealerships running a scam? Thanks in advance
