  1. Thanks for the replies guys. I have been quoted £110 to have the Toad alarm taken off my old FTO and fitted onto the 350z. This presumably replaces the standard Nissan one. This will give me auto window closure and flip the mirrors in. If anyone thinks this is the wrong decision then please let me know. Thanks,
  2. Hi, Quick question and I hope its not been asked too many times before!! My garage is quite narrow (read the 350 is quite wide) and its easier to get out with the drivers window open as I can't open the door too wide. If I then activate the alarm, I would have expected the window to close automatically. Can this happen and I'm doing something wrong? As an aside, on my old car (now retired) I have a good Toad alarm which folded in the mirrors and closed the windows on activating the alarm. If as I suspect the Nissan alarm is very basic, have other owners fitted an after market alarm to enable the aforementioned things to happen? Can the nissan alarm be disconnected and an aftermarket Thatcham 1 fitted? Thanks,
  3. Its looks identical to your second picture but I will see what I can do if the sun ever comes back out. Where was that second picture taken btw as it looks like the Peak District near me.
  4. Hi, I have no70 (Yellow) with now 12,000 miles after a weeks driving around the Uk on holiday. Note On my first post I had "bought" another GT4 but pulled out of the deal to buy the one with 11K miles on the clock, which is why you were a little confused.(af05gtz) The real owner of the first one I "bought" will be along shortly as he has just joined and pm'ed me to ask why I didn't buy it.
  5. Thanks for the prompt reply. I was already with Sheila's wheels and they came out cheapest on comparison sites at about £400 all in for full year so I did a mid term adjustment seeing as though I was 6 months in. £100 to trade up from a Tino to a Zed...........amazing value considering the power. Also the Zed is worth 11.5K and the Tino only 1.5K. Salesman swore blind that they would do like for like but when they record your conversations i bet they can never trace that one!!!
  6. Hi, Just purchased a GT4 Ultra Yellow which is a little dearer to purchase second hand due to there only being 76 ever made. I paid £11,500 for it. When I filled out my insurance, it came back with an insurance valuation of around 9k which is probably about right for a normal Zed. My question is; If the worst ever was to happen, would the insurance pay out to get another yellow GT4 which generally sell for £12k at dealers or try and pay me out an average price ie do they actually replace like for like? Thanks
  7. Hi, I have just bought an Ultra Yellow GT4 number 70 with wait for it 11,000 on the clock. Not bad for a 7 yrs old car.
  8. That previous post should have said treat not eat..........lol Just out of interest, is there another yellow around with such low mileage?
  9. Thanks Guys........ It is indeed no 65 and was owned by a member on here called GTZ. He seems to have made a few posts in 2006 and not much after which suggests the car is as described by the selling Dealer. By my cautious Yorkshire nature I eat every dealer as Arfur Daley until proved otherwise but it does seem an extremely genuine Zed. My last car that I owned 11 years was a limited edition yellow fto but unfortunately the old tin worm has eaten her alive underneath but she still looks good from on top.
  10. Hi Everyone, Just joined so be gentle...... Just bought a yellow Gran Turismo 350z reg AF05 GTZ today from a garage in Norwich with 21,800 miles. Do you know if the previous owner was a club member as there are only 76 of these, someone would know if it was a club car. The Dealer was wary of letting me see the name on the V5 so I just wanted to make sure the car was 100% history wise. Thanks, Steve
