  1. Alex, As always, thanks for your advice. Shall give it a go this weekend and report back. When you say fulcrum area are you talking about the spring and pedal assembly behind the clutch pedal under the dash?
  2. Hello all, After several weeks of care free driving, the ZED has decided to create the most annoying creaky / squeaky noise when the clutch pedal is depressed / released. When released slowly is sounds like an old creaky door being opened. It's particularly worse in cold / wet conditions. Have been browsing the net and there is not much out there in regards to what it can be and how to solve it. Some of the chaps have concluded that it might be a small pivot joint or part of the clutch assembly that requires ’re-greasing'? Anyone had this problem and solved it?? Update: Just encase anyone asks, the car is a 53 with 39K, original clutch. Much help appreciated as always
  3. Right just got a call from the garage I took it too. They took it for a road test and luckily the intermittent fault occured whilst driving. They didn't use Consult but instead a Bocsh diagnostic unit which has flagged up the potential cause to be a FL wheel speed sensor. So hopefully that is it! Sadly only Nissan stock the part which has a back log of a week and a stupid asking price of £300! Gonna hunt around for it first on the Net and on here before I resort to giving the stealers even more money.
  4. Hi All, Put an update on my other post if you guys are interested
  5. Ok chaps, got an update but sadly not the answer yet! Driving to the work the other day I started to hear a judder from the rear which was synched to the speed I was doing. To my dis-belief, I found a 13mm Stub bolt lodged in the tyre, so decided to take the morning off work and go internet shopping. Cut the story short, I decided to invest in 4 new rubber shoes as the rears where completely shot and the inside fronts had excessively worn thanks to it pulling to the left. New tyres and a near perfect alignment later I had two full days of bliss driving up untill the ABS showed it's ugly head again. This time on the motorway at 80 and swaying the car agressivley to the right as if it's trying to slow the front right down. Havern't had the dash light up yet which is interesting but subsequently I have no assists again as I had no choice to unplug them once again. Been doing bit of homework and few of the Yanks and others think it's either a dicky wheel speed sensor (guessing the FR?) or the trigger hub is damaged (expensive part?) Another cause brought is that the Steering angle on the steering wheel isn't reading right. I've heard Nissan can reset this on the Consult? Annoying as I vowed never to go to Nissan Warwick again due to their incompetence but will have to see what happens. Just wish the car drove like it was designed too Will keep you all updated!
  6. Nissan Warwick. There F****** useless. Wouldn't budge with helping me over the phone even though I had been there already a couple of times and when I took my car for a second diagnostic, they hadn't the fugiest what was causing my ABS problem without charging me ££££ to strip it all down to then 'find the problem'. Currently searching for an alternative garage
  7. In need of one asap really to take the old girl in for a check. Ideally familar with it's ABS / TCS. The garage I was going to take it too is fully booked till next week.
  8. Apologies. Didn't mean to insinuate the other advice was useless. I appreciate everyone who has spent the time to give their opinion to what it could be. I needed to know how I could disable the ABS it as I still need the car this weekend. But She is being sent off to the garage in the week. While I'll get the bus to work
  9. Interesting theory guys. Didn't think whether those two could be linked. I had a 4 wheel alignment done at Nissan when I brought it but It never resolved it fully. Going to take it to a independant local to me this week and let them loose with it. Shall report back in a few days time with hopefully not a very expensive answer!
  10. The best Advice I have had so far. Thanks for your help Disconnected the plugs and now can at least drive the car! TBH I have put up with the fault for so long I kinda used to not having any assists. The car will be in the garage this week and I shall report back later on. Some of the other chaps on here seem to think that the car pulling to the left could be linked with the ABS playing up. So we shall have to see.
  11. Was a private sale so no can do. Yep HPI'd it and did a VOSA MOT check to cross reference the mileage. Just my luck I guess
  12. Pressures are all equal This occurs even with them all on 35 exactly.
  13. As well as the Spiralling amount of other problems I have with this piece of crap. The car is pulling to the left. I'm having to correct the steering by about an 1/8th. The car had a 4 wheel alignment done by the stealers a month ago and that hasn't solved it. Anyone know what it could be? wishbone bushes? etc?? Cheers in advance
  14. There the right tyres for the car. I had this question asked to me when the fault first happened. I will check but I had the car jacked up the other day and the front wheel speed sensors looked ok. No ECU fault comes up. Just the mentioned lights on dash. Took it to Nissan when it first happened and they were completely useless. They had no idea what it was!
  15. Same make, Same pressures. I feel this is something to do with the ABS unit itself.
  16. Ok, So the first issue I had was that the ABS light, handbrake light, Traction control warning and ESP OFF light would flick on when doing a constant speed on the motorway. I 'thought I may have found the fault to be out of adjustment brake microswitches. I re adjusted both of them and the car behaved itself for 2 days. Fault came back on so I adjusted the lower microswitch even more and that solved the fault....... Until today where my ABS unit has gone mental and activates every time I remotely touch the pedal. Really scary on the motorway as I pretty much had no brakes. Unplugged the microswitch and it still kept activating until it started to click continuously and then packed up and brought all the above lights on my dash again. I'm getting really stressed out with this car now. I've only had it for 3 months! Does anyone know how to permanently disable the ABS as the car is incredibly dangerous atm as it constantly thinks the wheels are locking up I effectively have no brakes! Plus it's pulling quite abit to the left, so I didn;t know whether that was linked???? (Even after I got nissan to do a costly 4 wheel alignment. Need some help everyone ....
  17. Problem is still occuring gents. I have d/c and re-connected the two brake micro switches but this didn't seem to have any affect. The condition of them seem fine. I'm seeing my folks this weekend and they have a driveway so hoping to jack her up and have a look at the wheel hubs and abs sensors. It's so annoying. Especially when i'm driving and the problem doesn't occur for a day or two, leading you into a faulse sense of security Anyone else found the ultimate cure yet? Will keep everyone posted with how much / little I find on the weekend.
  18. Ok guys just an update. Past two days it started to behave itself and not flag up once! However, driving home from work today the dreaded lights came up once again, so I thought I would switch the ignition off and turn it back on while driving. JESUS that was a bad idea! The ABS weren't completely loopy and started activating on the Motorway! I had to wack the hazards on and try and pull over without doing a 180! It felt it was driggering the font left wheel. I have a two ideas what it could be; 1) The trigger wheel on the hub is buggered causing loopy signals. 2) As SpursMadDave mentioned, i'm thinking it could be this too, if the ABS is thinking the car is constantly braking. Although the brake lights only come when i'm actually braking?? Guys i'm stumped 3) The ABS/TCS or some of the wiring is trully buggered and like the Stealers said to me i'm looking a couple of grand to fix.
  19. As requested the tyres on the car are the following: The fronts: Both 225/45 R18 91W The Rears: Both 245/45 R18 96W Now I was under the impression they were the standard tyres but please correct if i'm wrong anyone! Update: Just realised this started to happen AFTER I did a track day at Silverstone. Don't know whether this could of done something to the profile of the tyres?? This is so frustrating
  20. Zugara, No havern't check those but will do so this weekend I wasn't sure whether it would be those though as this seems to occur at the exact same moment every time! ZMANALEX, That is P0115 but I am told that the letter 'C' relates to the ABS/TCS unit. Therefore C0115 was an ABS Malfunction warning apararently. Getting the car back this evening so i'll have more details to post later hopefully.
  21. Was there ever any answer to how this problem was solved?? Battery D/C didn't work for me.
  22. The past several weeks, I have had the Handbrake Light, ABS light, ESP and Loss of traction warning light camet up on my dash when on the Motorway, when going over 65MPH Took it to the Stealers and it churned up the code C0115? Anyone know of it? Typical Nissan where as helpful ever with them saying that code just reads a Malfunction with the ABS/TCS and would require a electrical strip down to determine the what the problem is. As I haven't got ££££ to spend on them ripping all the electronics on my car. My question is I know this has affected a few people with some giving suggestions to what it could be, but has ANYONE actually found out what the problem was? Getting to the end of my tether with this issue. Things I know / done so far: 1) I have topped the brake fluid to maximum 2) The wheels and tyres are standard Rays and standard tyres I believe 3) Only occurs when on the Motorway and comes on when going on or over 70 Mph 4) Switching the car on / off removes the fault but obviously comes back on when going over 70 Mph 5) First time it did, I switched the car on / off and it went for the next week. After that it came back and now the fault happens more regularly. Any help would be appreciated
  23. Hi Dblock, Was wondering whether you had any success with finding this fault? As I have the identical issue with me! MY handbrake, ABS, TC and ESP light illuminate only when I'm on the carriageway going over 60 odd. Use to only do it once every two weeks now it happens twice every commute! Let me know if you had some luck
  24. Thanks for all the advice chaps. Have made a note of the bleeding procedure and will be enforcing it with the garage
