  1. Yeah its a great bit of kit Its best used on track days. It plots the circuit and gives you telemetry read outs of all your laps comparing cornering g's, braking g's, split times, anything you want really lol. It would also be a great judge of performance if you modified your car beacuse this thing really doesn't lie. ................2nd...... 3rd...... 4th...... 5th MPH 20-40........ 2.31..... 3.28..... 4.47 30-50 ........2.23..... 3.08..... 4.29..... 5.56 40-60........ 2.32..... 3.08..... 4.02..... 5.38 50-70 ...................3.03......3.95..... 5.32 60-80....................3.26..... 4.01..... 5.34 70-90.............................. 4.16..... 5.52 80-100..............................4.41..... 5.69 90-110..............................4.82..... 5.89 Seems to be marginally quicker than the autocar test but im not sure if they do them with 2 people in the car.
  2. Hi, its a standard 04 350z. Many of the motoring test in the US achieved 5.2-5.5 on the early models. I know Autocar always test cars with about 100 miles on the clock so the cars are abit tight at the time. To be honest to 60 i can't see there being much in any of the models as its difficult enough just to put the power down. Not that im too fussed with the 0-60 time, i think it should be banned lol. 30-80 would give a better idea of real world performance What amazed me when using the Vbox is how you still need to use up all the revs in each gear to get a decent 0-100 time. The difference between 12.9 and 15 was changing gear afew hundred rpm later. I can see how the HR models puts abit of ground on the early cars once you're moving.
  3. I bought a Racelogic Performance box awhile ago and it measures all these things. Alot of the car mags use them for their test data. The 350z is effortlessly quick and the numbers were far better than it felt. I only did afew 0-60, 0-100 runs as i didn't want to abuse the car too much 0-10...0.5 0-20...1.2 0-30...2 0-40...3.2 0-50...4.2 0-60...5.4 0-70...7 0-80...8.6 0-90...10.7 0-100..12.9 I'll try some in gear times in the next few days. The impressive thing about the 350z is how in each gear the g force on acceleration is almost the same through out the whole rev range.
  4. I think it all depends on how you drive your cars. If you're booting it all the time you will soon get used to the performance, owners of GTRs soon get used to the performance and want more. However if you drive normally most of the time and have the odd moment where you push the car i think it will always seem pretty fast.
  5. Wouldn't the pulleys help the WHP a touch? which matters more! They're not going to improve the FWHP.
  6. Hi Latza, hope i can help! I've just bought a 350z a couple of weeks ago and its surprised me so much. Far more of a car than i ever gave them credit for and will teach me in the future not to just look at figures etc . I own an Integra Type R still which i've had for 7 years(currently stripped out and has maybe 210 hp/tonne) It flies through the gears(0-100mph in just under 12 seconds) but in the REAL WORLD the 350z is a far quicker car. Maybe on some back lanes the Integra would be quicker but 99% of the time the Z is the quicker car. The engine pulls so well from down below and would make a 182/Integra feel slow MOST of the time. With the 350z you're getting a whole lot of car, it feels wrong that these are around £7000 these days. Driving it is a pleasure and the car feels very special indeed, its so effortless compared to what i've been used to and it would feel like that to you im sure As for afew of the comments about the 182 being the quicker track car in standard form, thats far from the truth. All track tests by motoring jornalist have the 350z well ahead but it just takes abit more skill to drive a RWD car fast compared to a FWD car so afew personal experiences may give different opinions. Great video Neilp! Hopefully you have afew more videos to look at? Despite the clio being stripped with alot more hp than standard and exiting the bends quicker your 350 had more than enough grunt to pull it in.
