Hi guys,

Have decided what wheels I want for my zed! But need help with the fitment as I plan on running 11j rear and 10j front for a nice bit of concave... Was thinking 11j et32-35 for the rear? Or maybe a lower offset? And for the front something like 10j et35 aswell? If anyone with 10j fronts could shed any light on this that would be great also the guys with 12j rears what kind of offsets are you guys running? Don't want to carry out major arch work a quick arch roll is fine but no pulling or custom arches etc.

Sorry for all the questions but don't want to spend almost 2k on wheels and wait 8 weeks for them to be made only for them not to fit!

Im in Erith mate so not far can't say I have seen many Zeds around just yet only had mine four weeks though

Sounds good to me mate I would collect but it's quite a big beast to get in my golf and not sure it will even fit in my dads car send me a pm we will sort it out

Would bite your arm off for this if could be sent by courier mine is corroding underneath and couple of spots on the top edges.

So refurbed wiper arms are now on, etch primer and gloss black. And a nice set of Bosch flat blades to replace the crappy oem ones.

I was thinking to get it sprayed but want to keep the engraving defined. Was more to be a bit different and don't really want to get it welded up. Will have a think

So I was bored today and fitted my password jdm wiper delete although it will need to be removed when in the bodyshop! It looks ok but once the cars had the paint sorted I may remove the O ring and use a little clear silicone sealant so it sits flatter.

Also removed the boot weight whilst I was there, makes a fair bit of difference! Wiper arms are drying after being sprayed gloss black will get them on in the next few days once they have hardened.

Thanks for the comments guys can't wait for it to all start coming together, picked up my dipped parts today will be fitting them tomorrow. Still need to decide on wheels and sort out ordering coilovers soon!

And this is what was inside under all the wrapping!

Carbon fibre side sills! These will probably be fitted after/during the cars at the body shop.

Interior parts will be back tomorrow so expect fitted pictures guys!

So we have a little more progress to report....

I have now ordered from tarmac sportz the carbon fibre side sills to go with my front splitter. I have also had an update from the company that are dipping my interior parts, here are some pictures of them so far....

I also managed to get down to Jumping350's to pick up the import bumper I had bought from him, as it will be getting sprayed with the rest of the car in the body shop I have wet flatted it in preparation for paint

And last but not least my password jdm billet wiper delete has arrived. Should blend in a bit better than the black rubber grommet...

Really like the look of them, could be very tempted myself. Though just split my pre facelifts and painted the insides aha

 

Great job with the guide too man, would the beam pattern cause issues at MOT time atall?

I'd be interested in your painted preface lights if you do decide to replace with these

Is the boot mat £50 posted?

They would be but one set of tarmacs carbon side sills are in stock which I've heard is pretty rare! So they may have to come first....

Hurry up wth carbon interior bits lol

 

how difficult was the console to strip out? i'm looking to do the same.

Easy to strip out just followed the guides on the web, only dropped the bits off yesterday so be a week or so before there done. Cost me £240 to get it all done.

Fair enough il remove it also need some new struts for the tailgate feel a bit weak, next order is either carbon side sills or led rear lights

Have put it back on now! Haha when it comes off to fit the password jdm wiper blank il remove it. Guessing it's the black box in the middle? Have heard of people removing it didn't know if it made much difference?

I'm Elliot, 21 and after building a 1.8 turbo Corsa that never got finished (due to a 'mate' letting me down) fulfilled my dream of getting a 350z.

Picked up my zed from dymchurch, kent a couple of weeks ago. Made a fairly good start on the mods.

Car is a 04 plate with 47k on the clock full service history silver stone grey came with gt pack and rays wheels. The day I picked it up put my Rdx aerial on it

Here are some pics as collected.....

First couple of mods were smd bulbs for number plate and inside

Next I stripped out the centre console, rear brace cover and door grabs and dropped them to kent custom dipping for a bit of gold carbon on black base coat.

All the bits ready to go!

Today I took on the task of de wipering the rear, will also be removing the washer jet but halfrauds had run out of 22mm grommets

(Rubber grommet is only temporary getting a password JDM item soon)

And my hz altezza carbon lip arrived today as well, quick test fit. Is a very tight fit have to be careful when fitting it!

Please excuse the poor quality pictures! Overall the car is very clean apart from bad paint on the bonnet and little corrosion patches on the edges.... Have a import rear bumper and secondhand corrosion free bonnet for it. The car has also suffered from a few car park dings and condensation marks from having a cheap car cover on it. As a mate of mine owns his own bodyshop it's booked in for a full spray to freshen it up in November. Out of 4 cars I've owned this will be the 3rd to be resprayed (some may say I'm a perfectionist) :/
