I use my zed as my company car and do about 30,000 miles per year in her, I wouldn't change it for anything.

Costs a bit in petrol, but not bad I get between 24 and 28mpg.

Done about 80,000 miles to date, on sixth set of rear tyres And don't mention the company car tax

Long journeys are not a problem even when I do over 600 miles per day, I've always found her comfortable, and the best thing people gat out of your way on the motorway.

It seems to have done the trick, done 4000 miles since last service and oil change and she's running as smooth as a nut. Hope it lasts.

Problem solved. It wasn't the cam position sensor it would appear that the Nissan dealer has been putting the wrong oil in when servicing the car. I took my own last time, Castrol Edge 5W30 and problem has gone. It's like a new car the same as when I first bought it. They must have been putting the incorrect oil in from the first 9000 mile service. So only had to endure the problem for 72,000 miles.

Does anyone know at what mileage to change the gearbox and rear diff oil? Asked the Nissan dealer when I had last service and as normal not a clue. Must admit i can't fin it in the service book.

This is exactly the same problem with mine, same revs etc. Think it's time to clean / change the cam sensors. Anyone know the location on an HR engine before I attempt it ?

 

Thanks for the information. Just been having a look on the web found an article that describes what my engine is doing. The crank position sensor could be faulty and not giving the correct information. Would it be better to try this before trying another ECU ?

Had the car at RS Tuning. Still got the problem. They say that the exhaust cam is moving when it shouldn't be, don't now why. If you unplug the electrics to the cams problem goes away. Checked all the earths etc. Spoke direct to Nissan who say take it to the dealer, so I,m going to try adiffferent one. Anybody had any experience with Evans Halshaw in Leeds ?

Hi just become a member. I'm having missfire problems/ jumping when engine warming up. It's a 58 plate. The dealer has had it in three times and can't find what the problem is, no management light illuminated. Has anyone had this prob before, I'm thinking it could be a coil breaking down.
