Wish the Zed weighed about 100-200 kg less than standard, would have made a huge difference.
Aside from the hefty V6, what puts the lard on the Z?

Thanks for the reply densey, looking for silver spats. Glwts

Pm'd about the spats

Fantastic story. Santa would be proud.

I've heard that ZZ3s are good, and they're fairly cheap. I'm either going to go for Goodyear F1's or ZZ3s. Not sure yet.

There's a place in Reading but the name evades me.
Try car audio security in Hayes, although not cheap. I was quoted £75 an hour for a double din install and they reckon it's a 2 hour job.
I'm planning on asking/bribing a helpful forum member when it comes to my install lol

I was thinking of getting rid of my 350z as was disappointed with the performance of the car. I took it to Paul at TDI North and had this done to my car. Safe to say big grin on my face and will now be keeping the car. It transforms the car to how the car should have come out of the factory. Would have no quibbles recommending this modification to any owner.
I can't wait to see what difference it makes. I have a plenum spacer, typhoon CA induction, sports cats and Miltek exhaust so am hoping for some decent gains/improvement.
Do you have any mods?
Had to find the car in the for sale section to get the list of modifications. When I took it to TDI North i was low on petrol so had to but 97 ron in to get me off the motorway. I am going before Christmas to have the plenum spacer fitted and it remapped with proper fuel in it. I think from memory the mods below gave about 312bhp, but I would check with Paul at TDI North as was not really paying attention, as I trust him to map it correctly.

Most DE struggle to get around the 300 mark, let alone surpass it. Have you got hp numbers for fly and wheels?
How do the gains manifest themselves in the real world?

May be far but I go to Japex, also on the forum and have a great reputation.
-
I get water on the door seal on the drivers side. Not sure how to solve it?
-
Another Japex endorsement. Great service.

That's me bud. Good to meet you, mate. Hopefully see you down a few meets?

Seen a few zeds on the road and always Flash. Never hads response though.
Gave someone a thumbs up in a GT3 recently, I still remember the look of horror/disgust as he drove past.

Will try and make this in November. Need more Zeds and less Scoobies

Hi all
Planning on gettinga new HU at the weekend, I know ideally that the unit should have 3 pre outs. Front, rear and sub. Can anyone recommend a decent unit at £150 with 3 pre outs.
Was thinking of the below pioneer but it only has 2 pre outs
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009KZ95QQ/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?redirect=true&ref_=nosim
Also, can anyone recommend audio shops to help with the install around middlesex. Was thinking of car security audio in Hayes or John Kleiss in Reading.

OP just save up a few extra pennies and go for a 370z.
-
Second dips if this falls through
-
Can't see the special offer on the website?
-
Would it be worth spending extra and going for F1 asymmetrics?
-
As everyone said, don't chase numbers. Improvements on mechanical grip and suspension shoud be first port of call.

Ekona will say, stretch for mpss it's only a tank of fuel difference which I do agree with but not always possible.
But it is, if you're running a 350Z. If you can afford the fuel + VED + insurance +servicing, then making sure it's on decent boots is the least of your problems!
But anyway, without going down that route I would say that the Avons are the best choice there by some margin. I wouldn't even consider the other two. I would chuck in the Falken FK453 to the mix though.
Also, Ekonda is an awesome name, I may change mine to that!
Cheers mate, must have been thinking about you and street fighter at the same time lol.
I would go for mpss but I'm saving for a house and need to make some compromises.

Hi gents
I want to change my tyres as there were ditch finders on my Z when purchased. I'm considering the above tyres, would love to hear some feedback on those that have used them and of course I'll be seeking approval from our resident expert Ekonda.
Unfortunately I can't stretch to super sports but want a good midrange tyre, with decent wet/dry grip and decent wear levels.
Alterative suggestions welcome.

Think I'll stop going to the gym if the shocks go, and just pump iron on the Zed lol
