  1. You might be referring to GL5 gear oils, they contain additives that cause premature wear in yellow metal gears.

     

    Also, what's this molyslip additive, has anyone noted any difference when adding to Nissan oil?

  2. I have to say that changing to second is fine when cold, but i did find that 2nd doesn't appear to 'feel' straight back from 1st.

     

    To better explain it, if i pull back to 2nd in what feels like a straight line then it will try and clunk/refuse to go in correctly, but if i pull if back to what feels like half way between 1st and 3rd, then it slips straight in, no problems.

  3. Yup, glad you updated it with the fix as well, thank you, so few do so.

     

    I did think bearing at first as well, but as you checked it when straight, it's all i would have done as well. Good to know you need to check it when locked over.

     

    I think one or both of my rears might not be so well, i can hear a slight version of this but only at 60 and above.
