Wooo hoooo all fixed - I had to remove the ribbon cable, and play around for a bit but all sorted

I must be doing something wrong!! Unscrewed the gear knob and nothing moves!! any ideas??

In previous post I am having trouble with my heating - Does anyone actually know how to remove the console where the heater controlls are? Is it a case of getting a screwdriver behind it? Or are there some hidden clips etc? cant seem to see anything though Thanks!!

Oh and sorry yes - usb sits in the flap above the radio!

Yes it is aftermarket stereo - was fitted by previous owner (well garage) according to receipts! but behind that?

When you say the centre console - where do you mean? Inside the car where the radio sits? or where the usb cable goes? Apologies for my ignorance - I'm new to the 350z - having my fair share of probs already though

The heater is stuck on hot and constantly blowing from the windscreen vent. It does not matter if the heating is turned on or off or which position it is in!! Does anyone have any ideas on this? If not a nissan specialist close to Maidstone in Kent??? Thanks in advance Nick

Thanks for that! as I have said no sludge no steam from exhaust no over heating rad is staying full - just the expansion tank!! thats why i'm finding HG hard to beleive - but I will have a pressure test done to rule it out!

Head gasket - really?? No symptoms apart from he header tank emptying - the rad is staying full up. Sorry I am new to Jap engines I have previously owned Lotus with rover engines so just a tad on the different side. Let me explain fully. Basically I only purchased the car last weekend - took it for a test drive 20 mins or so all was fine. I then drove the car home (200 miles) only stopping once - pretty much all motorway. When I returned home I could hear a noise - looked under the bonnet and the little bit of water that was in the header tank was boiling and steaming. Topped it up and checked it again in the morning - it needed a little more so all was fine. checked again today and its right at the bottom of the header tank again. Of course I wont rule out head gasket until I have pressure test done etc the header tank does have a vent in the top right so as it gets hot I would expect it to steam and level drop slightly but just not sure how quick this should or will happen. any advances on H/G after explination? Aagin its only done 30k. Had clutch changed regular service etc - it has been looked after. Thanks again Nick

Thanks all - hope its not head gasket -its only done 30k, I will get pressure test done etc and go from there - no steam from exhaust and no sludge in oil filler cap!!

Does anyone know of a specialist in kent for 350? Other than main dealer of course - thanks Nick

Hi, I appear to be burning coolant - the expansion tank is emptying out over a few days - it is not leaking, the temp is fine etc no sludge under oil cap. any ideas??

Hi all, Just sold my lotus elise and hopefully picking up my 350 this weekend - just wanted to know what to look out for when buying? The car has service history,30k on the clock (2003) 12 months MOT and has recently had the clutch replaced and upgraded. I knew all there was to know about the Lotus and no I am in new teritory and feeling a little lost if i'm honest!!! All suggestions/advice very much appreciated from a nervous 350 buyer!! Cheers Nick
