If the Esp is that intrusive it might be worth getting a 4wheel alignment done once you get your new tyres, if the alignment is slightly out this can completely change the characteristics of the car
Thanks il keep that in mind and yea ESP is staying on for a while

I always turn mine off. Mainly because, when I first got the car, several times I'd 'nip' out of a junction only to have it cut in and leave me bogged down in front of approaching traffic. I'd much rather have a bit tyre chirp or , if I'm feeling playful, a bit of fish tailing than having it cut in as it is rather sensitive and very abrupt.
But having said all that, you have to judge your own driving skills as to whether you can drive with it off or not.
i guess with experience its a more enjoyable drive with it off, think il wait until I'm use to how the 350 drives/reacts before i start playing lol

ok the rears are 18/245/45 Falken, no idea if these are budget
and the fronts are 18/225/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE040's again no idea..
hope this helps

Just had a look the fronts are 18/225/45 and the rears are 18/245/45

Thanks for all the comments
Ah, I see. Proper photography, Not something you can achieve with your average digicam then.Really need a DSLR but some compact cameras have the ability to do long shutters
-
The front are Michelin bit I'm not 100% sure of the rears. Thanks a good point iv only done around 50 miles on the new rears so hopefully they will get better
So back to the whole ESP situation, is there ever any need to turn it of il be leaving it on as id rather not spin out, but I'm confused on when you would ever need to turn it off? when it snows maybe?
-
...you can see the torch on the car as the light hits it directly
exactly
-
Thanks for the quick replies, the dealer where i bought the car from decided to put different tyres on the back to the front does that make a big difference? The rears are brand new and the front still have a lot of tread on.

Looks good
I keep seeing these pics that appear to have spotlights on them , I assume that's a photoshop effect?
I've got Cs5 but haven't had the time to play with it yet and have never really done any photoshopping so it seem a bit daunting. Might have a play this week.
no photoshop its done by 'painting the car with light' pretty much set the camera up on a tripod and have it set on a very long shutter speed, while it is taking the photo light up the bits of the car you want with a torch and job done

So I'm new to the 350 scene and after going out for my first drive last night i couldn't help but think that the ESP was ruining my drive when ever i gave her a bit of throttle it felt like i was being limited and the ESP light kept flashing up. As I don't have much experience driving the 350 i don't want to turn it off just yet but I'm wondering, how many of you turn it off and how often?
Thanks

its just poor connection in the plug at the throttle pedal.
had the same issue with mine.. i twisted the pins in the plug on the throttle pedal and squessed the plug into it.. worked perfect ever since
really wish i had known this lol! may well have been an easy fix!
-
After being told that the parts would be in today and i should have her back this evening i was phoned by the dealer and the parts manager ordered the wrong parts! so now il be waiting until wed/thursday to get her back! grrrr! But yes like you said luckily they are paying for it
-
Well my 350z experience went from very excited and happy to ****ed off and angry in a matter of 50 miles..
so after work i filled her up and got excited about going for a drive and then this happened..
So angry she went into limp mode and wouldn't idle when Mr AA man finally turned up he plugged the diagnostics in to find that the throttle position sensor and the throttle pedal sensor had stopped working so he took me back to the dealer and they hagve ordered the new parts in. Thank god i got a years warranty and AA cover with the car!
want her back already

Nice MX5, looks rather tasty. Your Zed is a GT with optional Rays.
Ah thank you been bugging me for ages!! The MX5 was great fun to drive but the 1.6 wasn't very pokey
