  1. Just spotted a GM roadster on Holly Lodge Drive reg was S55 I think, I was a bit slow on the thumbs up so if it was any of you I apologise.
  2. More of us in Northampton than I realised. Might see you around then since my Mum lives in Kingsthorpe and I work at Moulton Park. I'm a fellow 54 plate silver GT (although it's got a private plate on it now).
  3. This is the stubby I've got. Perfect fit (no overhang at base like with S2k aerial) and absolutely no issues with reception. AMT250 re your fitment issues this is a straight replacement, no pratting about fashioning a suitable 5mm male fitment, unscrew OEM and screw this one in its place. Job Done.
  4. Just stumbled across this and it's epic. Got some funny looks in the office as a smirked randomly at my computer though...
  5. This was a challenge I set myself and got bored of very fast. You can quite easily get the mpg up on a motorway with cruise control on, but then again I didn't buy a Zed to drive it like my grandad, hence my average of about 25 mpg which is in line with most I reckon. Thinking about it though, at £96 to fill my tank up last week it would be nice to get more than roughly 350m out of it (had 370 out of the tank I emptied).
  6. I have to say I'd be very surprised if Wales don't secure the Triple Crown. The England set up is very much a work in progress who are scraping their way through at the moment, and Wales look like they have carried over their good from from the RWC.
  7. Glad to see we're back on track after the grammatically incorrect 'proper English' tangent (although I was ready to bring renounced pronunciation into the equation). Anyway, it's time to be opinionated. I personally think England's victory at the weekend was more due to Scotland doing everything in their power to lose rather than us playing well. That said, I'm willing to give Lancaster the benefit of the doubt for now as we really need to inject young talent into the squad and a few shaky games early on will hopefully lay the foundations for a more prosperous future. I'm glad to hear that Lee Dickson is recovering rapidly from his hand injury as I believe he is one of, if not the, best scrum half in the country at the moment and he needs to be given more of an opportunity to showcase his abilities (and yes I am a Saints fan before you ask). Whilst I'm on the Saints bandwagon (more players on International duty than any other Prem team might I add), it's also a shame Wood isn't available. Couldn't care less about Lawes as he is massively overrated. I'm surprised the France vs Italy game hasn't had much more comment. Whilst France won, Italy seemed to me the better side and we yet again let down by their fitness in the last 20 and inability to converty try scoring opportunities into points. If I was a betting man I'd probably back Wales, maybe even for a Grand Slam since they've got 3 games at home now to gather even more momentum.
  8. My money is on thread lock which does as the name suggests and people can be a bit heavy handed with the stuff. Heat breaks the seal but will also knacker everything else so brute force is probably your only option... Good luck!
  9. First and second series of the mighty boosh where really good, third was rubbish, after that Noel should stick to pannel shows. Have you ever seen Bunny and the Bull. Wierd wierd film but brilliant. I second this, Boosh was great at first, but as with his new show I get the impression he thinks can be as random as hell now and people will find it funny just cos it's him. He is sadly very mistaken.
  10. Sorry guys no link as they pulled it off their site as soon as I had put the deposit down. Will post pics as soon as I can though. IMO it was a bit of a steal, hopefully I won't live to regret saying that...
  11. Not DoogyRev's. It's a stock 04 Silver GT, actually bought it from a local sports car specialist. 68k on the clock, FNSH, full MOT, tax and recent service. Comes with a 12m full warranty from the garage itself (I've checked the fine print). I've persuaded them to refurb the alloys and touch up any blemishes in the paint work included within the negotiated price of £6,800. I think (hope) I've done alright, but I'm sure you lot will tell me otherwise and there's only a £100 retainer on it so can walk away if needs be.
  12. Ok so Zed should be in my hands as of Sat afternoon, pending the funds clearing my bank.
  13. Lovely place it is too. Not even height of Summer yet, and was 26 degrees in the biggest city today. (not hot yet though, give it another few weeks) So you're a Jafa then I presume. I've got family in Christchurch, nr Oxford to be more precise.
  14. It's down to £9250 but I am sure Jim would take £10k if you twisted his arm I have to say I had looked at his up for sale and am surprised it hasn't been snapped up yet... I'm assuming the move to Canada isn't going as swiftly as planned either. Jims move is going as planned so far as I am aware. It can take 6-12 months for a Canadian visa to be approved for residency It's one of the few places I'd consider emigrating to, the only other being NZ.

  16. Hi Chris, I realise it's two months after the initial post but is this Zed still for sale? I'm recently on the market for a Zed, and also in Northampton... Jenks
  17. Hi all, I recently passed some professional qual's and got a promotion, and have decided to use the pay-rise to treat myself to a new car (previously bought an EP3 CTR as my last treat (which was for getting the job in the first place) but it's time to step it up another notch I feel). Having snooped about the options were whittled down to either an E46 M3 or, evidently, a Zed, which by virtue of my being here has come out on top. So, now the next thing to do is actually find and buy one. I've already decided its got to be a GT and with the Ray's if possible, however, its the pre/post '06 debacle I'm now caught up in... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Looking to spend circa £8k but will go up to £10k if the right car comes up for the money (obviously anything less will be a bonus). Right now I've said hello I'm off to scour the classifieds.
