24k on an 05 plate

Hi folks, got a bit of a problem with the 350z. Its a 2005 with 18'000 miles and I think the dual mass flywheel is possibly on its way out! Is this a common fault or has anyone else had experience of this? The symptoms are a slight rattle when the car is first started and also turned off (only when your foot is off the clutch) and also slight rattle when the car is in a high gear at low speeds and you accelerate slightly. When on the move it's fine but to me it has the symptoms of the dual mass flywheel, even although the car has only covered 18'000 miles! Any advice or experience would be appreciated, Thanks, Tommo.

Hi mate, sorry to hear about situation! I think i would be all for replacing the engine though. I work at a large breakers yard and we have a 350z but rarely does anyone need anything mechanical for them it seems. Apart from body panels etc i think you may be left with a car you cant sell and are stuck with. Im currently repairing an accident damaged 350z so i know how expensive parts can be from the dealer or even second hand, and how difficult they are to come by. Even still i would be for replacing the engine.

Hi guys, does anyone out there have a second hand washer bottle for sale from drivers side of car? Its one of the few bits left to collect for the car but other than brand new i cant find one! I priced one from Nissan today and i'm glad i was sitting down!! Alex has been great but only has new ones too although they are a lot cheaper. Any help would be great, thanks!!

Thanks everyone! yeah the car has been declared a cat-c but this doesnt bother me too much as i plan to keep it for a long time. I'm still on the hunt for headlights and an air filter box though if anyone has something tucked away in their garage lol. I wasnt going to put it on the road before winter but i can guarantee if its ready I wont can resist haha!

Hi! Im about to become the proud owner of an 05 350z GT with only 17'000 miles. Just one problem first though, the car is accident damaged! Im fortunate that I work at a car salvage and breakers and this particular car has sat for sale for 2 years with no one buying it (mainly as spares are very expensive) so i decided to take up the challenge! It has heavy front end damage and i'm in the process of repairing it at the moment, having just fitted new airbags and seatbelts. I hope to have pics up soon and keep everyone updated on how its going. Keep up the great work on a brilliant site!! Tommo
