  1. I would probably push for them to Tax and sort the advisories (unless they have been sorted and they are just part of the history).

I would also check the service in detail to make sure the type of services were done correctly P3 is the big one which I think should have just been done if its on that milage (not 100% sure on that though). Either way check when last P3 was.

Passenger side window is common issue but cant understand why a car dealer would want to sell a car with that broken!! Get them to fix that!!

How did it drive, any crunches into 5th as that is something to look out for. Clutch ok?

Go and and drive a few so you get used to seeing how they feel, I drove 5 in one day and ended up buying the last one as it felt so much better than the others.

  2. think the fatter line is hotter (forward) and the thinner line is warm (back). Either way it freaks you out when you get in and the leather is cold and switch them on. Feels like you have wet yourself!!!

Even better when you switch the passenger one on and your mrs doesnt realise!!! hahaha

  3. You do have to watch out for any new Audi/BMW, the performance and MPG they are getting from diesel engines these days is insane. Agreed I have experienced a lot of inflated ego Audi/BMW drivers but likely they are all company cars so they drive them like they stole them and are jealous of you driving a nice 2 seater sports car.

Im always wary of diesels as so many people map them and get 1million lbft of torque!!

  4. Well mine wasnt crunching, just a little stiff from 1st to 2nd but i changed oil with molyslip like you did.

I did find that it was an immeadiate difference to the feel of the gear change. Maybe worth taking it ot someone who knows zeds to investigate, dont want to scare monger but could be synchro???

  5. i found the 350z clutch heavier than other cars I have had. Think a lot of 350z owners also say the bite is high and seems to be a common Z trait. As long as it doesnt slip you should be ok. CLutches go from 40k onwards but really depends on how it has been treated. Dont expect much change from £1k for replacement clutch and flywheel (including labour)

  6. ask if they have any fuel receipts to show its run on 99. I try and keep all of mine so next buyer knows its been run on the right stuff. Also when you test drive it have windows down and try and do some slower town speeds (as well as faster sections through the gears) so you can hear any potential rattles or if clutch/gearbox feels ok at slower speeds

  7. Yup, drove a JDM Dc2 for over 3 years before the Zed. Zed requires a LOT more respect but I personally find the Zed more rewarding as you need to drive it smoother instead of just chucking it into the corners. Sometimes miss incredible handling of the Dc2 but the V6 growl more than makes up for it.

Not as though the Zed has bad handling, its an incredible car and I would never go back to a fwd car now.

  8. I literally just came off the phoen from The Wheel Specialist in Birmingham. Just quoted me £288 inc VAT for doing my Rays. This is arriving with tyres still on and same day pick up service.

Going for a slightly darker/smoke finish to standard Rays colour.
