  1. I've just been making my way through assassins creed...finished the game but try to trophy whore it.

Started the uncharted collection now also which is always good with it being remastered.

Still got fallout 4 to start but just can't get into it :/

It took me a little while to really immerse myself in Fallout 4 especially as some things can be a bit annoying & frustrating at first especially for someone like me who's never played any of the Fallout series before but it really is a great game imo.

I love being able to customize the weapons & settlements which is a big part of why I'm enjoying the game so much I think. ;)

took me a good few hours to get into the groove of Fallout 4. The building and weapon mods are not very well explained, I had to google how to use power lines to link up equipment for lights etc.

  2. So, after throwing countless hours into R6:Siege, I came across someone else that had a mic and spoke English. Communication made quite a difference to the outcome of a few of our matches. After that the floodgates opened and within 20 minutes we had a full squad of English speaking headset users. With the constant chat and call-outs going on we went on a streak of something like 9 straight wins. That was the game being played exactly the way it was designed to be - it was magical!

If anyone else fancies squadding up on PS4 then add me. SonnyMarrs

Know exactly what you mean, it makes a huge difference having everyone talking to each other. I'll add you as it always helps to have a few players. My ID is Banzai__Bam (two underscores)

  3. Same here, I couldn't stand COD after black ops 2.

Battlefield is really good, but at the moment I am totally addicted to Rainbow 6 Seige. It feels similar to battlefield in terms of shooting and the movement but it's like the ultimate Call of Duty version of hardcore search and destroy. Gameplay is brilliant.

  4. I'm currently playing Bf4

Was all about Cod and was buying all the dlc to go with them at one point.

Absolute cash cow. Now i see it, i wont buy another.

They just seem to release a game with a load of map packs, then 6 months later, the new game comes out with new map packs and nobody plays the last one rendering all the maps etc you just brought effectively useless. Not to mention half the "new" maps they used to release were just re skinned old map layouts....

At least with Bf4, the game still gets new maps and dlc. Even after being out for so long. Hell, people still play it even though the new game is out..!

Definitely is a lot better and more team based imo

Working together is what wins rounds

Wont ever look back at another cod game....

I played COD 4 on my mates PS3 recently and it's still brilliant. Maps are perfect and no overpowered kill streaks or weapons

  5. I gave in over the weekend and bought Rainbow 6 Seige on PS4.

Only played the first 5 training missions but is really enjoyable. Far more realsitic than cod/battlefield and it makes you think tactically instead of the normal run and gun. Looking forward to playing it online although I have the feeling it's going to be a steep learning curve to begin with- especially until I can memorise the levels and understand the gear you can unlock.

Any Rainbow players on PS4 add me (I will need the help)- Banzai__Bam (that's 2 underscores together!)

  6. Played Fallout 4 for an hour, cba to run a hundred miles to the 2nd quest.

So bought it on the Xbox one for the GF to play instead

All about Rainbow 6 Siege right now! Epic game.

Is rainbow 6 really that good? Have been seriously tempted as loved the previous ones. Fallout 4 is taking up all my time though!

  7. Well I finally took the plunge and bought myself a PS4 on a deal with Argos along with Fallout4 and Elder Scrolls online, haven't tried that yet but quite impressed with fallout 4, although I am finding it a fair bit harder than 3 or New Vegas, the combat seems a lot harder...more enemies and harder to kill.

Fallout 4- Keep with it. I found the start very hard but this soon changes once you level up. Crafting weapons and armor is really important and make sure you read through the perks screen and invest into the areas you want to unlock (e.g. you might need to increase your endurance before you can obtain a high level perk under that section). Doing this early on helps as you level up quickly in the beginning.

  8. Played Fallout 4 for a few hours. Spent most of my time building a settlement!

Very addictive game although it is a little buggy, but expected that anyway (similar to Skyrim). Story line and dialogue options outweigh the minor issues and the game creates a brilliant post apocalyptic atmosphere. Cant wait to invest some real time into it.

Hopefully the game will be patched soon to iron out the glitches, but if the story and dialogue remain strong then I wont mind too much.

  9. Think I'm 35% now, only about 1M cash (but I spend a lot on upgrades), Heroism looks similar to your numbers and Espionage level I have no idea.

Now I've figured out that when you set the game to auto-manage your men it can ditch the specialist guys you get from the Side Ops, I'm through with this. No more playing for me, I'm now waiting for Fallout 4. I'd only just unlocked the FOB stuff too, which appears to be an absolute crock.

Exactly what I thought about the FOB.

I finished the game the other day (NO SPOILERS DON'T WORRY)- IMO I didn't like the ending, but it was still a great game and will probably come back to it at some point. I also need to give the multiplayer a bash to see what that's like.

Pre ordered Fallout 4 as well so that will keep me busy for AGES!! Cant wait.

  10. Don't understand the ruined handling comments. I was on standard suspension with 20mm front and 25mm rear and did a laser alignment after fitting and it felt great.

Ok you sometimes had a little tram lining on certain sections of road but not that bad at all.

Getting it re aligned is a must though.

  11. Ok quick question for the MGSV players as I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else...

After playing the game late last night (11:50-2am) and finishing a mission I got an urgent call back to "mother base" once I got in my pick up helicopter. When I got back to mother base it sounded like gun fire at first (snake draws his sidearm) but then it was more obvious it was actually fireworks, ...then all of a sudden "Revolver Ocelot", "Kazhuhira Miller" and a few other characters appear carrying a birthday cake and singing happy birthday to snake.

It's actually my birthday today so just wondering is this is a massive coincidence or feature of the game that happens when its your birthday date that is stored on your PSN profile.

    Actually made my night.;)

Argh is this for real? Kind of a spoiler don't you think?!!

  12. Why are we not all playing MGSV? This is the game of a generation. It's better than GTAV, IMHO.

As an example of why it's so clever (in spoiler tags in case you don't want to know how to defeat an enemy really easily, but there's no story spoilers here):

On one mission, you have to defeat an enemy sniper who moves around the map when you get close enough for a shot. You can either kill or capture, but I knew I wanted to capture. I struggled like crazy, as the map doesn't have an awful lot of cover for you to use and the sniper can pretty much one hit kill you if you're not quick. I thought it was going to take me hours to get close enough to make the needed tranq shots, until I read a hint on the interweb.

You can call in supply drops for your ammo at any time, and you can also specify the location of the drops. They come in crates. Crates are pretty solid. Cue me calling in a supply drop on the sniper's head, and knocking the sniper out ready for capture! :D

It's that level of genius that makes this so engrossing. Completely out of the box thinking.

Just got to this bit. Didn't work for me, will keep persevering though. Just love this game, balancing stealth with speed is a real art....which I haven't mastered yet

Works if you think about it, thanks

I just requested a sniper rifle in a supply drop then took her out! Barely had to move, just kept her in my sights and used night vision to keep track then pop her each time she stops.
