I have a schematic saved somewhere, however this may help in the meantime.
Thanks again Alex. Cant get to the car until the weekend so will take a look then.

Bit old now, but finally sorted my problem. I had indeed knocked out the fuse for the A/F sensors. Fuse 86!
Cheap fix, phew.

Evening all.
After I had checked a fuse for my washer motor in the fuse box behind the battery, my engine light came on.
From previous post of mine on here, from the codes, this is caused by the AF sensors on both banks.
This seems odd, so, going back to my fuse box, after have dropped a spanner under my battery tray, during retreival I find a 15 amp fuse lying there.
So, my suspicion is that I dislodged this which is causing the error.
However, my fuse box layout bears no resemblance to my manual. All the fuses are different amps to what that says.
So, anyone have a photo or can offer any help on the layout and where the AF fuse should be?
I may be clutching at straws but best to check before I take it to the garage.
She is a 2005 GT convertible.
Thanks

Thanks Alex
You know the next dumb question...whats an A/F Sensor and are they easily changed??

Moring all.
I have just had to change my washer pump. Prior to doing this, I had the battery out to check the fuses. Since complete, my engine light has come on. I have checked the error codes and I have the following:
P1031
P1051
P0037
P0057
I tried clearing them and the latter 2 have stayed cleared, but P1031 and P1051 came back. P1031 is a fuel mix sensor and P1051 I cant see in the list of codes Anyone any idea what these could mean? I mentioned the battery out and washer motor change because I suspect its related.
Thanks

Due to finding myself on an usuitable road, I bottomed out the car.
Just had the car serviced and been told I have damaged the cats.
One Side the heat shield and cat is damaged and they can see honeycombe.
He said to leave it until MOT in October to do an emissions test or find a specialist to repair it.
Any advice?
Anyone know anyone in the North East who can help do repairs?
Thanks

Final update!
I am very pleased to say that the garage have come back to us an agreed the car is not fit and have returned the money, no hassle at all. They are actually pleased as it was costing them a fortune.
Thanks for all your advice and help here.
Now he starts looking for a car. No, he cant afford a Zed! I checked for a laugh putting him on my insurance and it was £12,000!
Now I look forward to next week when I get my new Cobra exhaust and look into a new sound system for my Zed!

Today's update!
Car went back yesterday with no turbo working.
They claimed the airfilter had come loose???
Got it home and its failed again.
Think its time for a solicitor.
Thanks for all the advice.
21 yr old lad, with a job, rare enough, saved his cash like mad and now he gets landed with a lemon. Do I feel sorry for my boy!

Hmm, I think you'd still be on shaky ground if you tried to reject the car now. That said, I would suggest that this would be the final attempt if the fault is identical, as two goes would seem to be reasonable. Are they replacing it this time?
They are still looking at it. Will know the outcome tomorrow.
Yes, looks like we are stuck with it!
-
Cheers for the reply.No. You have the right to insist they repair it, but that's all they're legally obliged to do at this point I would say.
Is it the exact same failure? As in, the new turbo went pop too?
Its the same fault, but they sent the Turbo for repair rather than replace it.

Afternoon all.
Just wondered if there was anyonne out there who had knowledge about the following issue.
My son bought a used car 4 weeks ago for £3750. 3 days after he got it, it suffered major turbo failure. The dealer had him pay to tow it back. Although it took 2 weeks, they fixed it for free and refunded his costs of towing. 1week later, it’s failed again.
The dealer will take it back again, but we have lost all confidence in the car and the dealer.
Can I demand a full refund?

Thanks guys. I will work on the "all too common" rather than new gearbox!
100+?
Me?
Never!
Planning on selling her on and was worried about it.

Hi
I have developed a crunch!
If I accelerate hard, changing 5th to 6th, I am getting a gear crunch.
If I just drive "sensibly" its fine.
Anyone heard of anything similar and what may be the solution?
Cheers

Excuse my total ignorance of painting, but why in the oven?
I have had a quote for my front end and bonnet of £400 ad he certainly didn't have an oven!
Does that mean its not a good place?
-
Same for me.
I am looking at front and bonnet re spray.
Been quoted £400.

Does not meet Zeds for sale criteria.
After 6 years, it's time to part company with my Zed.
Never gone wrong, never missed a beat.
Most fun car I have owned.
However, time to realise a dream.
