    Cats

Does anyone else suffer this problem, that cats are attracted to the 350z? Is it the colour do you think, mine Is sunset. The last thing I want is for them to jump up on it with their claws! Lol does also seem to be ginger ones mostly......no seriously!
  3. +1 if you can afford to do it then you might as well enjoy it! yep but at 200-250miles a tank of v-power those bills are gonna be big lol. It would cost me 120 tanks of fuel a year to do that mileage lol with a tank costing around 100quid mark now... thats a sh!t load of v-power Well work pay me 33p a mile so that goes some way towards the cost, obviously not wear n tear though.
  4. Yes 3 services a year, just like my Alfa 147 . Im not ruling out buying a smaller car like a £500 Matiz,Micra or a Charade. However at the mo just having bought the car am just enjoying the moment
  5. Yes its a few extra miles above average & if i was worried about Depreciation I definitely wouldnt of bought this car. Im very happy with it & enjoy my job more knowing im driving it & spending upto 3 hrs a day in it Im the envy of all my care worker colleagues & everyone else who sees it on the road, specially my Audi TT acquaintance
  6. Yeah will try a couple more Monday, but im not hopefull for a cheaper quote tbh, oh well! Will consider plan 2 now,get rid of Miltek & buy a standard Nissan Cat back & possibly make some extra money out of it! Silver lining & all that, not to fussed about keeping it on & from what i have read the stock exhaust is a good one anyway
  7. Sorry, Admiral were £17 more expensive btw.
  8. Flux cant better it what age are you ? have you checked with admiral and elephant? Put in a quote first without it and then give them a call and ask how much it would be onto this price if you added a replacement stainless steel exhaust system cat back Im 40, 8yrs NC, 20,000 miles buisness use, 10,000 personal use.
  9. The agent spoke to their loss adjusters, she repeated what they told her!!
  10. Well it looks like Privilege are still the cheapest so will have to look into putting an original Nissan 350Z cat back exhaust back on the car & sell the Miltek one
  11. Thanks for the replies, i have just told them there is no power gain as its just a direct replacment & they are gonna add an extra £24 as they say people who change there exhuasts are more likely to crash..........their exact words!!!!! So am gonna compare insurance companies & leave this one asap!!!
  12. cat back exhaust to my insurance company (Privilege) im now paying an extra £304 a year & my excess has shot up to £700!!!! They wanted to know how much gain the exhuast gives, i had no idea as car had this exhaust on when i bought it 3 weeks ago,so settled on 10%!!! Im now looking to see how much a standard cat back exhaust costs & selling the Miltek one,any ideas on standard exhaust price?
  13. Oh yes, as its a car i will be using for work everyday, doing between 50-100miles everyday my plan is to afford the petrol to put in it!! Seriously though no,it has a cat back Miltek exhaust on it already & also drilled vented discs, would like to keep it as standard as possible im afraid
  14. I payed £620 which obviously included fitting etc.
  15. I have noticed the cabin gets very hot, the temperature only goes down to 18 degrees unless you put the air con on to get it colder & you cant completely turn off the temp gauge! I have seen no posts on this,so no one else having this problem? My Alfa went down as low as 16.5 degrees,if you wanted it any lower you would then turn the air con on, you could also turn the heating/cooling completely off.
  16. Tbh i have had nothing but great comments, strangers coming up to me in car parks saying how good it looks & they all love the colour (Sunset)! Have never had that with my previous cars Cavalier, mondeo mk1, Alfa 147 lol.Well i lie, i had a few good comments about the Alfa! The 350Z i think really looks like a super car,way better looking & rarer than the TT & RX8,there really isnt many around where i live & people do actually stare at the car when your driving past!
  17. Im quite looking forward to the winter months, never driven a rear wheel drive until this car,let alone in the snow, can practice drifting without burning up the tyres,
  18. Just an update regarding selling the front Bridgestones, they had a lot of cracks in them, quite badly perished so have decided not to sell them for obvious safety reasons, the rears were just as bad,so just as well i changed all 4,they look great & wow the noise reduction is very noticeable
  19. Just an update regarding the Miltek Exhaust, its a cat back, but hey an unexpected £900 extra is always welcome The vented discs are a recent addition too,so plenty of life in them!
  20. I know i have bought a very unpractical car for the job i do,i knew that & thought s*d it,get it anyway.Work pay me 33p a mile,im probably breaking even if not just losing out.......but so what, its a great car & everyone loves it!
  21. Having the the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's put on each corner,so will be selling the front Potenza 040's which have about 6mm of tread left, rears are obviously worn! This 350Z newbie does his research
