  1. Make sure to get some wheel sealant on them ASAP if you havent already - C5 gtechniq is good stuff as are a number of other brands.

These have already been refurbed and the dish has been diamond cut and lacquered.

For precaution though I'm using wheel wax after every wash :D

  2. I think they are absolutely cracking wheels but I'm not sure they go with an azure zed in that colour? Not meaning to offend buddy - what other plans do you have for the car?

    No offense taken.

Other plans will be a lip for the front bumper, not sure whether carbon or colour code. Also a set of the front and rear mud guards (I think that's what they are anyway).

I wasn't 100% sure on the colour in the beginning, but they are growing on me. If I go off the idea of the colour combination I can always respray in a different colour.

  3.

Since the set of SF's you are getting off Goat Of Mendez have already been refurbed with a diamond cut finish and properly lacquered it's not going to be a sensitive as the original Volk anodised finish.

Although caution should still apply. Just wash as normal with car shampoo and protect with Rim Wax or Poorboys Wheel Sealant, using Poorboys myself and couldn't be happier (and this is on bare polished metal on my Volks)

Yep, gonna get some in the next few days.

Well, urr, you've both got e's in your names  Ahhh GT-C's :cloud9:

  4. what brand of light alloy polish would you recommend?

You were the one getting the volk sf's right?

In which case. DON'T for the love of gord use polish.

Just use a gentle shampoo + wax otherwise you'll ruin them.

That is me getting the SF's :)

Don't worry, I know all about Volks and the lacquer they use on the polished lip.

A garage washed my car and very kindly ruined the GT-C's on my Supra

  5. Looks exactly like mine when I got it, previous owner paid no attention to the exhaust.

Autosol, an old bar towel and some elbow grease shifted the crud. Then buffed it up with a soft cloth and some more autosol. Job done

  6. I know someone on the other forums selling a set of Volk Racing SF Challenge in 19", same wheels as I have, only difference is that they have gold centres and a diamond cut dish, diamond cut cos there have been refurbed

    £1600 with tyres too

I do like the SF's, but not sure on the colour.

For some reason gold on blue always reminds me of an impreza.

But always good to keep options open, thanks for pointing them out

They do look nice wheels B) If you dont like the gold then get a quote for referbing just the centres to the colour of your choice. That would still be cheaper than a new set I think

That is a darn good point dude. Some thought required.
