  1. I want to but my tom-tom has a built in sim for the traffic/google info and it interfered with the stereo when I tested it in the cubbyhole hole
  2. Was just going to say this, you usually lose 2 years per claim. I'd fix it myself still though.
  3. Its only really coming to light recently, since a lot bought on a group buy and some are quite disappointed it seems. Its a shame, good power with no maintenance and keeping standard ECU and all features was a good idea.
  4. You don't mention the rolling roads they trust do you? They are (I presume) RSTuning and TDF I presume. They usually give the lowest figures but at least they seem genuine. Most stuff makes around book, clio's usually a little less which is common, but VW's usually bang on the book. As for the RS2 JMS manifold, a few people seem to have been getting little gains from it over on cliosport, and to say it makes more power than ITB's is ridiculous. ITB's make around 200 usually, be lucky to get this to 190 from what i've read and heard in the clio scene. Just my thoughts anyway. If your spending that amount of cash, go ITB's everytime.

    The new Zed

Small update. Got a carbon fibre front lip in the end, instead of vinyl. Got it from Daryl, also got a free can of red bull too Also change my number plate for a self adhesive type, I would of rather had the plate in the lower grill but couldn't due to the mounts for the old holder. I will eventually be getting the front end resprayed because there are quite a lot of stone chips so will get the holes filled and it sprayed over then. It has really freshened up the front end today though, very happy compared to before Before: 350Z by mjenic, on Flickr 350Z by mjenic, on Flickr During: IMG_1523 by mjenic, on Flickr After: IMG_1528 by mjenic, on Flickr Also got a smaller aerial too, the old one was just too big :o IMG_1529 by mjenic, on Flickr Will give it a wash and maybe even polish tomorrow!
  6. I upgraded the day it came out. Running a 2011 i5 iMac and a 2011 i7 MBP. Its just as fast, if not faster except for boot times which have increased, but thats not really a problem as most people don't shut down their mac. Dreamweaver and Firefox 8 no longer work, neither does photoshop CS2 as they are all old pre intel software which is no longer supported. I have CS5 aswell anyway and that works fine, as does lightroom 3 and office 2011. The new OS is good, and well worth £20 BUT I had my first mac os crash ever (been using macs for 5 years now) today. Had to force a shutdown by holding in the power button. I think if it hadn't of had full screen apps I'd of been able to save it, so a glitch i reckon, although cmd-option-esc didn't work. Also, my parallels doesn't work, but some peoples do work I've read, I think i need to buy the new one. Its just a pain because i rarely use it but needed a windows laptop for a job yesterday so ended up taking my MBP and a netbook. If its a computer you rely on, I'd be tempted to wait for the first update.
  7. Thanks We used it on our christmas cards last year infact!
  8. A little into photography myself, although wanting to get more into it this summer. Picking up a 24-70 f2.8 L tomorrow in fact A couple of mine which aren't of cars:
  9. So apart from a nos switch, what else have people put or thought about putting there?
  10. So it never did anything on UK cars, hate blank switches That above looks cool though!
  11. Did a quick search but couldn't find it, I'm sure its been covered a million times though. Just wondered, what the blank switch next to the heated seats would do should whatever spec it is for be chosen from nissan? Cheers Mike
  12. All I can think to say is if you do it, get a wiring diagram up! Sounds a good plan, maybe look to get higher res display?
  13. Put me down for a set, whats the retail price usually?
  14. I paid less than £50 inc vat from a main dealer the other day.
  15. I got the official mats, about £40 + vat from my dealer last week. Look nice and are fitted
  16. Cant believe you let the FTO go for £1k! I'd of bought it for that price lol
  17. I just bought mine. 2004, FSH, 12 months MOT, 65k miles, Rays and GT Pack in blade silver for £7350 from a dealer with 3 months warranty. Its mint except wear on the drivers door handle, it did have a scuffed bumper but i got the garage to sort it before I picked it up.
  18. That FTO is really nice, how does it compare? Zed looks good too, I keep thinking I should of looked at convertibles too.

I know, my first words when I put a deposit down on this car were "no mods this time"

    Side door air vent.

I have already bodged it with a small piece of thin metal rod, but its just not as smooth as the passenger sides so would prefer the proper nissan part. It cant be glued as the 'rod' must move as the vent opens.

Thats from the dealer wash too! Thanks for the comments guys. Have since got some official mats for it, and ordered a carbon fibre front lip from Daryl on here. Cant wait to get it!
  22. Mine has lost the part that makes all 3 sections open and close together. Would anyone have just this part or do i have to buy a whole new unit? If so would anyone have the whole unit available? Cheers Mike
  23. I have had bad experience with tape adaptors too but thought I'd give them another try when I got my Z. Purely because I didn't want to mess with the stereo. Went for a Sony tape adaptor rather than a cheaper one and its superb, no interference or scratching I have had with the cheaper ones. Highly reccomend it, sounds just as good as a 3.5mm input. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-CPA-9C-Car-A ... 1c1ceec8d2
  24. This happened to my uncle's volvo. The whole locking mechanism had broken, he had to just chop the door card up to change it and then replaced the door card. Expensive but had to be done.

    insurance

I'm 21, but with no points (touch wood!) Elephant were cheapest fom me (all the admiral group were within about £100 of each other). I paid £1380 with 2 years bonus in a decent area. I found not having RWD experience was my biggest burden as the specialists wouldn't touch me, I had to give up 6 months bonus as my current insurers wouldn't insure me on the Z so had to start a new policy. Admiral group are the cheapest atm though, for most people our age with performance cars, when I told the other insurance companies what they had quoted they clearly didn't believe me, and usually ended with the line "if thats really what they have quoted then go ahead and take it out" lol. Next year, when I have a years RWD experience it should be better.
